Sorry, I forgot to mention that - no, it doesn't happen when I log in as a guest, so it's something in my main account.

Recently I have noticed that the Finder will crash on me if I do a search with the Finder window search box. It also did so when using the Apple-F find search. I repaired permissions and logged out, no luck. It makes no difference if I search my boot drive or switch the search location (Selection, Home, etc.). 10.3.9, all current updates, dual 1.25 G4

Is there any way to hide the OS X menubar? there was a extension on mac os9, called "Bartender". Just wondering...
