  1. some of you probably already know this site, but if you don't take a look at it. you can search for a specific kind of image, and you can also have VERY specific searches. this site is actually for graphic designers, photographs or anyone who wants to buy stock images from photographs. you can order images and pay for a photo that you would like in a project or something. but if you just want a photo to play with in photoshop or whatnot, you just have to register and you can have the picture without the "gettyimages" watermark, but your picture will be at a poor resolution. or you just can have fun by browsing the site and admire photoraphy! http://www.gettyimages.de/landing/unsupported
  2. i love typography so much, it's such a nice part of graphics. sometimes when i can't work with images because either they're trademark or because a client will not give me pictures to use in a project, i will play with typography and find a way to catch the eye without images. simple typography site, interesting.
  3. when i'm stuck with a trojan, i run a program called AVG (it's an antivirus in fact, the best for trojans) http://www.avg.com/de-de/homepage
  4. i know!i really can't stand norton, i once had to format my computer because it ruined everything.
  5. i love how pure they look.the colours are striking, yet those are simple photos but they really look beautiful.the second one is almost peaceful.
  6. good sites for downloadable fonts: http://www.1001freefonts.com/ https://www.acidfonts.com/ https://www.fonts.com/ http://www.abstractfonts.com/ http://www.dafont.com/de/ http://www.highfonts.com/ http://www.pcfonts.com/index.html http://famfonts.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.freewarefonts.com/index.php http://www.cool-fonts.com/ http://www.fontsforflash.com/
  7. i have a gallery there, mainly composed of photography and graphic design: deviantart also you all should check out this girl gallery, her work is amazing (plus she's a nice girl) here
  8. try out this extension: here ColorZilla is an extension for Mozilla Firefox and the Mozilla Suite. It assists web developers and graphic designers with color related tasks - both basic and advanced. With ColorZilla you can get a color reading from any point in your browser, quickly adjust this color and paste it into another program. You can Zoom the page you are viewing and measure distances between any two points on the page. The built-in palette browser allows choosing colors from pre-defined color sets and saving the most used colors in custom palettes. DOM spying features allow getting various information about DOM elements quickly and easily. And there's more... you'll never want to live without this anymore
  9. your best bet would be adobe illustrator, since it's a program based on vector and not pixels, which means you can create illustrations the biggest you want them without losing quality because they're not composed of pixels.i know it sounds a little complicated, but if you ever want to do this at all, i'd suggest using adobe photoshop for a simpler way.
  10. obviously the first one has been digitally retouched, and you should avoid doing this (in my opinion) photoshop filters has been used and overused.it's always better to look at a real photograp, good or not.
  11. If you have photoshop, you can use imageready, but it's a little tricky when you have no actual knownledge of it. but i'm sure you can find online tutorial and you know, you'll eventually get around it. or- you can download a trial version of animation shop, a little program that comes with jasc paint shop pro. you can find it here: jasc.com it's really simple to use, and you actually can do quite a lot of things.
  12. I would suggest Nod32. You can download a trial version here: Nod32 and if you are satisfied with it, you can purchase it for a really cheap price. I personnaly tried it and unlike many antivirus, it's really quiet and does not slow the computer at all. Very simple to use and it does the job great!
