I have the Microsoft AntiSpywaree and it works just fine for me. It is kind of annoying when it continually pops up to tell me new spyware definitions have been installed, but it isn't as bad as you might think. It is the only spyware blocker/remover I have on my computer, and it seems to do just fine. Of course, my computer is monstrously slow, but that is just because it is old and has XP installed when it was only meant to run on Windows 98. Oh well...

When I'm on my Mac I use iTunes, and it is great. But one I like that most people probably don't use is one called Creative MediaSource. It is software that came with my Creative MuVo TX FM MP3 player. It has a lot of good features for recording, and can record the stereo output from your computer, so if you need to convert a file but it doesnt seem to be working, just play it in a compatible media player while recording stereo out with MediaSource. In my opinion, it is a great program that most people don't get to use. If you want to try it out, you would have to buy a Creative MP3 player, although they are a good brand of mp3 players...

If you happen to be using a Macintosh, you can open it in preview, the click "print" and in the box there is an option to save it as a pdf.

If the image has a distinctly different background (such as a jpeg with a white background) you can simply use the magic wand tool, then save it as a gif file. If the background isn't very different from the colors of the main image, you can use the extract tool in the filter menu

The best site for templates has to be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . They have tons and tons of free templates sorted into different categories, plus links to other sites with more templates. There are also lots of other resources on the same site that are really helpful
