  1. Both KOTOR games came out later for the PC...
  2. Killer 7 is NOTHING like XIII.Killer 7 looks crazy. Switching between 7(8 if you count Harman Smith) different characters, each with a unique ability...You move on a rail-based system, meaning you don't have too much control on where you move. You can't even see the Heaven Smiles anyway, they're invisible. They make some strange sound when they get close, then you scan them. Once you see it, you switch to a first-person mode, and shoot it. Each one has a special weak point, and shooting it gives you blood, which replenishes health, and can be used to unlock other items. The whole game looks pretty confusing, but cool.
  3. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is the BEST game ever made.Even better than the original Prime. It's got the best graphics for the GCN(some of the best for any console), great sound(especially with surround sound), simple controls, awesome gameplay, and will last a long time.I'm currently in the Torvus Bog area on my Hard Mode. I got 100% scans and 100% items my first time on Normal. And just so all you people know, MP2E is NOT A FPS. It's a FPA, a First-Person Adventure. The only FPS Metroid game is Metroid Prime Hunters, for the DS.
  4. The only thing I don't like about SoF2: DH is that the A.I. sucks. The online multiplayer is good, and its got decent graphics.
  5. I have Madden 2005, and it's easily the best football game out so far. Madden '06 looks even better.
  6. Don't talk about what you don't know. That review is only at GameFAQS, GameSpot, Nintendo NSider Forums, and a few other small forums where I posted it. It's my own review, I didn't copy a single thing, except the image URL's. I still have the original text copy saved in Notepad.
  7. NBA Street V3 GameCube, Xbox, PS2 Published by EA Sports Big Developed by EA Canada Released on 2/08/2005 Genre: Sports(Basketball) Introduction: A few weeks ago, I bought NBA Street V3 for the Nintendo GameCube. I was really anticipating this game, and I was not disappointed. It's much better graphically and in sound than the first two, has the new "Trick Stick", and a deeper Street Challenge. It has a much longer replay value, and much more than the first two, like more game settings, a created court, a new Gamebreaker style, the Dunk Contest, and just a much greater fun factor. Although I like realistic sports games, V3 is THE BEST sports game I've ever played. The GameCube version has Mario, Luigi, and Peach as playable characters, with their own Nintendo Court, and the XBox and PS2 both have online play. Since Gameplay is a huge part of a game, and graphics and value are also very important, I set each score as a certain impact to the total score, out of 100. Now, on with the review: Gameplay: 27/30 Gameplay is the most important aspect of a video game, and V3 delivers. It may be unrealistic in some areas, but that just makes it more fun. In Street Challenge, the main game mode, you start out as an unknown baller trying to move your way up to compete with street legends and NBA superstars. You have to make a team first. You should pick a small and fast guard with good handles, and a big man with a good dunk rating, power and blocks. You start out playing against other street nobodies, made-up players with just a first name and horrible skills. There are several types of games; a normal game, Trick Point Challenge, First Gamebreaker Wins, Old School Rules, NBA Scoring, Dunks Only, Long-Range Only, and Back to Basics. When you win a game, your Rep goes up, and you get Street Points, which are used get skill points, buy clothes and accessories, and build up your created home court. You can also pick up a player from the losing team, but you should focus on building up stats, and then wait for the NBA players to come. Then you'll play people like Dajaun Wagner, Samuel Dalembert, ect., before you start playing LeBron James and Tracy McGrady. You'll get invites for tournaments, dunk contests, and special challenges. When you dump a player off your team, they may become a rival, which means you will get a few Rival Challenges, which have a much bigger impact on your Rep, especially if you skip it, and the sometimes can get a little irritating after it's a rematch for the fifth time. Then the NBA Street League starts. You get invites from several NBA teams, and when you pick one, you will have to play in their Street League game once a week, with their team, all the way to the league playoffs. At the same time, you are continuing your quest to become the top streetball player in the nation. Graphics: 18/20 NBA Street Vol. 2 switched to a much more cartoonish look, but V3 has gone for a total change in realism. Players look a lot like their real-life figures, and have good facial expressions. Actions are smooth and life-like, unless you count jumping over the rim. Courts look much like the real thing, and you even see leaves or paper falling down onto the court sometimes. The lighting is just outstanding. It changes from day to night well, and there's even a small change in a warmer or cooler atmosphere. In the Court Creator, you can customize your home court in Street Challenge all the way down to the cracks and lines on the court. You can choose seating, banners, neighborhood, setting, color, line color, the whole basketball hoop, logos on the court, and design. So many things to customize, and it looks so good. Sound: 8/10 The hip-hop soundtrack fit nicely into the street theme, but it didn't have the selection of many of EA's other sports games, and could get repetitive after a while. The announcer is pretty good, but also a little annoying. Some of the things he says are pretty funny, but it gets old after a while. He also likes to talk A LOT, and he goes on forever. He'll be talking about some big dunk you just did, then the other team scores, and he's still talking about your dunk. He also likes to talk about the DJ sometimes, and sounds kind of stupid. You can just turn the play-by-play down a bit, most of the time he's not too bad though. Controls: 10/10 The controls were simple and easy for V3. The addition of the new Trick Stick was really nice, allowing you to do more tricks than ever before. Most of the controls were the same as the other two NBA Street games, and were very nice. Although the Trick Stick is good for doing moves with the ball, I still preferred using the X/Y buttons on defense, to steal and block. Value: 19/20 This game should last you for a long time. The Street Challenge mode is 10 weeks long, and gives you plenty of things to do, with all the customizing, the great Court Creator, and stacking your team with legends and NBA superstars. But the game really shines when you're going head-to-head with a friend. Multiplayer is really fun, and you can make it a normal game, a Trick Point challenge, a first-Gamebreaker-wins game, with Old School rules, NBA Scoring, and even spot him a few points if he's not too good. Tilt: 10/10 This game is just really fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Buy/Rent? If you're a sports fan, you should definitely buy this game. Even if you don't really like basketball, you should still at least try this game, and rent it, but then you'd miss out on all the long-term fun and replayablity. TOTAL: 92/100 or 9.2/10
  8. Need for Speed Underground 2 Nintendo DS Published by EA Games Developed by EA Canada Released on 5/10/2005 Genre: RACING Introduction: Through the past few years, Need for Speed Underground has established itself as the biggest street-racing video game series, and EA has brought Need for Speed Underground 2 to the Nintendo DS. NFSU2 was not just a simple GBA port, or just a handheld version of the console game, it was a whole new game, the best racing game currently out for the DS. NFSU2 combines stunning graphics with great, realistic gameplay, and many cars and customizations. Gameplay: 25/30 NFSU2 is easily the best racing game for the DS, so if you skipped over Ridge Racer and Asphalt Urban GT, this is a must buy game. Easily the second-best game for the DS (after Super Mario 64 DS), NFSU2 starts you out in Underground Mode with one car, and completing races gives you Points to use on buying new cars (which must be unlocked first), and Performance Upgrades, to make you car go faster, handle better, and other things, like better brakes, and nitrous. Completing races also unlockes visual upgrades, like rims, body kits, different paint jobs, vinyls, hood scoops, and more, so opponents can stare at your sexy car after they get left behind. There are six tracks, plus two different tracks that are only in Drag Racing mode (Runway and Main Street), and fifteen cars (plus three tricked-out EA cars, and a few secret cars). Also, you can earn special bonus upgrades by unlocking and completing different levels of simple touch screen mini-games, which are kind of lame, but hey, it gets you new stuff. Advancing through the Underground, you can pimp your car, add custom decals, drawn with the Touch Screen, and make it go faster and faster. EA tried to make a more realistic crash effect so that youy don't run right over obstacles, but they overdid it a little. When you are going 150, and ram into a car head-on, going only about 40, you don't expect to bounce back 10 feet and spin in circles. One crash can ruin your whole race. Even if you have a HUGE lead on the second-place car, one crash, and they probably pass you, so you have to work even harder to not crash. It can get really frustrating at some points in the game, but the crashing effect just makes you try a little harder, maybe going a little slower, but in control, which helps. For Nitrous, you can use up 1, 2, or 4 bottles at once if you have unlocked them, giving you a bigger boost. In drag racing, it's best to use it early on, to help you go faster through the shift points. In normal races, you should use one bottle for accelerating after a crash, or use 2 or 4 combined for a huge boost. But just using one bottle at your top speed doesn't help much, you may go up 5mph, but you'll notice that you don't move ahead of the competition at all, and they speed up with you. All in all, NFSU2 is a fun ride for the DS. Graphics: 19/20 NFSU2's graphics are a showcase of some of the best work that the DS can do, looking almost as good as the PSP NFSU game, NFSU Rivals. Each car looks similar to its real-lfe counterpart, and all levels are very detailed and colorful, the best graphics for the DS.On the other hand, there is a bit of a "pop-up" effect, where you can see objects like buildings and signs forming in the distance, and the end of a tunnel is just all black, until you get much closer. Although, you don't notice it too much when you're driving, you sometimes don't see traffic coming at you from the edge of the screen, coming around a corner. Overall, the graphics are just oustanding, and EA did a great job on the graphics for this game. Sound: 8/10 The sound is not bad, but it could have been a bit better. The sound effects are nice, although all of the cars you drive sound the same. The traffic noises are pretty good, good crashes, cars honking their horns, and other sounds. I was very disappointed with the soundrack though, I was expecting some actual music, but you just get some techno-rock beats, a different one for each track, which aren't too bad once you get used to it, but can get a little repetitive if you race the same track too many times. Controls: 9/10 This game is what you expect for a handheld racer; D-Pad steering, A button to drive, B to brake, L and R/X and Y to shift(if in Manual), or one of those buttons for Nitro. Steering isn't too bad with the D-Pad, and your car responds quickly to the touch of a button, if it has good handling, so you will only need a quick tap for a short turn. You can also tap the Touch Screen to activate the Nitrous menu, showing 4(or however many you have unlocked), so you can use them by tapping one, or use 2 or 4 at once by touching a small icon in between the nitrous canisters. Good, simple controls make this easy to play. Value: 10/10 This game will last you a LONG time, upgrading your car, unlocking new nes(with a few secret cars), and plenty of other things. The custom decals option also gives you move choice in design. Want your ride to be a Batmobile? Do it, go make it black, change the body kit, and put in some Batman logos. Want it to look like your favorite NASCAR racer's? Choose your color, put the number on, and add some company logos. This game will last anyone a very long time, and you can also work on improving you race times. Want to get your drag time down a few seconds? Go upgrade your car and practice! So many things to do make NFSU2 a long-lasting game for the DS. Reviewer's Tilt: 17/20 Anyone who is a fan of racing games, likes cars, or owns a DS should go out and buy this game. Definitely the second best game at the moment for the DS, after Super Mario 64 DS, this is a must-own for all Nintendo DS owner. Buy/Rent? As I said above, this is a game that anyone should go out and buy now. Overall Score: 88%, 8.8/10.
