The reason why it says that is because you eather have a file missing to phpbb or one or more of your files has a bug. Just reinstall the forums with new files and it should work.

Ok, well if he wants to transer it theres not much he can do. You can try to link it to his website by editing one of the files in PHPNuke but then i don't know if you will be able to make it fit the page for phpnuke like other sites. If he has the files for the forums then just transer them using FlashFXP or some other file to transer those and replace all of the other PHPNuke forum files with those.

Here is some information about mysql. With mysql you can use it for many feature but it will not do so good alone. With phpnuke or ipbnuke you will need a mysql server.
