  1. Ram (like a computer) 32 MegsRam (storage on the Axim) 32 megs.Think of Ram (storage) almost like a Ram drive. And yes, programs WILL start taking up quite a bit of space real fast. I would suggest either a 512 or 1 gig SD card for the Axim, and remember to format it for the axim (in the axim itself, it should ask you when you put it in)No, Windows Programs (regretfully) don't run. and I think .net is the way to program for Windows Mobile.Proud Axim X30 624mhz user.
  2. Well, if you do like me, buy yourself a pack of 50 cdr and prepare to burn. It, personally, took me around 30 cd's and going through 6/7 distros to find one that suited me best. One thing you can do if you don't want to install Linux to your HD is try a Live CD. Live CD's have the OS on the cdrom, and run completely off of it, without having to install anything. This way, you can "try before you buy" idea. I went from Mandrake (user friendly) to Fedora (yum) knoppix, mepis, before Ubuntu, back to Fedora (FC4 just came out) and finally stuck with Ubuntu as my Linux OS.Another thing to look for is a good user community, where you can get lots of help and friendly advice as well.
  3. Yes There is usually a script or command that you can type into a konsole and install to HDD, just make sure you have your drives partitoned the way you want them first. So far, my favourite live CD is Kubuntu.
