  1. I agree. I think the Internet is the best tool you can use for learning how to do HTML and all the webs many languages. Try Googling for In-depth tutorials and guides. The best thing you can do for yourself is hands-on learning. Find a small website, save it to your computer, then play with it's source code and see how the changes you make affect the way the page looks or works. This was how I learned how to make webpages 9 years ago was just by seeing how other pages worked. Once you see how they work, you'll quickly learn how to make your own and customize it to fit your needs.
  2. You're right about sourceforge being a great place to visit for developers. Coming in second under that would be freshmeat. Pretty much the same concept as sourceforge, just not as large.
  3. There are many books out there tha cover C++/C#/Visual C++ but it you're interested in spending some quality time in learning it, I'd recommend Sams Learn C++ in 21 Days book. It offers source code with the projects for you to look at, plus it also comes bundled with a free trial version of MS Visual C++ as a compiler, as well as your choice of another compiler (I forget the name now). However, you might just try Googling for some resources first for free online tutorials. Heaven knows there are plenty of them out there.
  4. Since I'm in college, I find that I spend a lot more time on the Internet now that I figured I would simply from having to do research and what-not on projects, papers, and so forth. But when I'm not doing that, I relax by playing around on Neopets.com. I've been a member there for well over 4 years now and..I don't know..it's just something that keeps me interested and provides stress relief.
  5. Hmm...There are many age-old favorites out there, but I'd have to say my current favorite RPG is Tales of Symphonia for the Game Cube. Hours of interesting and time-consuming play plus tons of side-quests to conquer make it quite enjoyable to continue to play even after you've beat the main-plot of the game.
  6. I've played it all the way through the first time around without paying any attention to side quests. But as I played again, I started picking through the side-quests. I really suggest you do as they can prove to make beating the game much more enjoyable.
