Ask me- LOL! For starters: Final Fantasy, Sports (Football, Wrestling, Track, UFC), Gran Turismo, Business ($$$$), and music. Check out my Myspace profile ;)
  1. This guy is deffinitely on the right track! Multiple endings will also give a game tons of replay value- but you don't want to overdo it with too many endings! You must have a Noubuo Uematsu quality sound track too. There is nothing more dissappointing than a weak soundrack in an RPG. Also, you must have a very involving story line that allows you personally connect with at least half of the characters involved. There are too many superficial, non-evolved characters out there that you will never be able to sympathize for, or relate to. And the plot-writter cannot be scared to actually incorporate a male and female character who actually have a sexual relationship along the journey of the RPG, once in love. It may sound silly and perverted of me, but I believe that love is handled way to cheesy in RPGs that are targeted towards the mature audiences. If there is an RPG out there that handles the subject realistically, then I simply haven't played it. Even PG-13 movies handle the subject more realistically than the most hailed RPGs. Let's not continue to make the male characters seem like such a square in relation to the female characters, (i.e. Cloud, Aeris, and Tifa). Vagodeoz had a crucial point in enabling full customization of characters. It is so boring to equip a character with brand-new weapons and armor only to find out that he/ she is still wearing the same damn outfit, hairstyle, and accessories as before. Full customization at any given point and time in an RPG is the key to the next great RPG! ok, well I've talked too much already so... yeah um, I guess I wouldn't mind being a beta tester either- lol! You guy are too much! Late! -KAP
  2. Yeah, the person who posted this entry does have a legit concern. I too am here to see if I will be able to host a few music files for use to be played on my Myspace page. Luckily, I have found a free host that will take care of my pictures. But so far, I can't find a free host that will allow me to actually keep music files of MY choice handy for use on my Myspace page. I would only need to keep 2 music files at a time if that, so I'm really not abusing anything. A free host would simply allow me to use whatever music file of my choice rather than have to choose from a selection of music videos provided by someone who thinks that they have chosen the ideal selection of music. I'm not knocking those guys, but there are many songs from artists that will never be available as music videos. Also, many artist are just simply not available due to lack of space on the sites.Asta Host has been recommended in the Myspace forums as a very reliable free web host. I'm just here to see if it really works. It would be a great help in personalizing my web page! In the event that it doesn't work, then at least it's been nice chatting with you all -KAP
  3. Yeah, there was another one that I used to play back in the day called Starsis Gate, or something like that. It's on the net, but I forget how to get back there now...(probably b/c I wasn't vry good at it- lol!). I'll do some reseach on it again.
  4. A.I. is a very cool subject. But I get turned off when talks of Humanoid beings arise. Sure they could be useful for doing heavy duty jobs, but then wouldn't that just make us weaker? Sure they could do deep space exploration, but is there no honor in dying for humanity anymore? The problem that I see with the whole technology advancement is that we are giving more responsibility and power to machines that most of us do not have the knowlege to manipulate. It would make more sense to power mankind through mankind. I know that I am imposing a very uneasy idea, but why not empower human beings to do and carry out the dreams of humans? Why give the duty to a machine instead? Why not invest the time, energy, and money into ourselves? I don't know, i'm tired right about now. But wouldn't it be great to hear that scientist are working to strengthen and perfect the human body/ mind rather than attempt to recreate a scene from I Robot? I'm a dreamer, but so is anyone else that works today in hopes of making a better tomorrow. I just think that we're going about some things the wrong way... Thanks for listening everyone. Almost have those 30 credits for free hosting now, LOL! Goodnight... -KAP
  5. Chronno Trigger was deffinitely THE time travel RPG of it's era. That game was fantastic. It was real crazy when you got the Wings of Time and could actually see how you helped, or messed up the past, present, and future. It is still one of my favorite games. The plot of time travel always adds a very cool theme to a game b/c you find that you are actually fighting for the future when it all comes together.
  6. I have to go with the Madden! I too have been playing since '94 and u just can't beat it! Football players probably appreciate it the most b/c of the strategy involved. 2K is more of a run and gun type gameplay, but in '05 you can really only get away with that style on All-Madden mode w/ Vick and the Falcons. I do love the speed of 2K, but nearly anyone can get good at it fairly quickly with a few games and some tips from your peers. Playing '05 in All Madden mode can be extremely frustrating at first. You really have to understand football and what teams can do what to be successful vs. the computer. I think as far as man vs. man, any of the two work well for bragging rights. But I know that you have a better since of fulfillment being a Madden champion than a 2K champ -KAP
  7. You know what I can't believe? President Bush and Clinton could get together on a dime to make a comercial to donate to the tsunami victims, but no politicians can just up and get together to make a fund for the homeless and needy here in the Untited States! I understand the emotion felt for everyone over there, but isn't it just too typical for the U.S. to forget about home and fully dedicate themselves to a foreign affair? I just don't understand at all.... You know what most homeless and needy people get good at? Not working and accepting hand-outs. Why? Because that's all that we give them here. "Here's some money and a place to stay so shut up and know that you can never be hired for a respectable job." Sheesh people! We are giving out sucker passes when we should be giving out oportunities!Sigh, sorry for that- but I really needed to get that off of my chest.... Much respect to those that died in that tragic event. However, this does re-awaken the inevitable. We still have much work to do......-KAP
  8. If I fell off of a boat in the middle of the ocean and saw one of those guys swimming about, I'd probably die of shock! HAHA! All I can ever think of is 20,000 League Under The Sea when I think of the giant Squid. I disected a squid for class a while back, and just seeing one of them scaled up about 100 times and jetting through the murky depths of the deep would be extremely intimidating! Their bodies are so stream-lined and aero dynamic- made absolutely for easy jet propulsion through the unbearable water pressure. The tenticles could easily rip a human apart before even getting to shred the body with it's power beak. And those eyes! Eager hunters that could spot you in an instant! Oh man, it gives me the shakes.... I don't think that they'd instinctively pick off a distressed human being, but from looking at the terrible gouges on some sperm whales, the giant squid can deffinitely defend itself. Haha! And you know that there's gotta be one King Squid chillin' in the most inhabital region of the seas..... So what the hell are we doing looking for it?! Man, those researchers have balls! I've seen the Abyss- that water pressure down there is not a joke. The level of depth that the giant squid call home is not called the Hadal zone for nothing Anyway, I'm done expressing my fears for the deep sea. But I do agree with the guy above in that reseachers need to stop looking up for intelligent, alien forms of life and start looking down for the mysteries that actively swim right beneath our noses. This was a great subject, thanks for the post. Late. -KAP
  9. Yeah, u are right about the PCS. I work for Nextel and I learned that Nextel phones use a system called IDEN, (which is most likely for the Direct Connect a.k.a walkie-talkie). Since PCS towers are limited in range, Sprint puts up about three towers for every 1 Nextel Iden Tower.Unfortunately, besides the DC, Sprint and Cingular have way better coverage out in the Western U.S. region than Nextel. How ironic that like u, I have a Sprint phone although I work for Nextel- LOL!
  10. I like Pokemon a lot. I just like the Red and Blue Versions vs. the Yellow b/c it just gets too easy. I tried to get into Gold and Silver, but I just didn't like them. Soon after, the whole Pokemon craze just got too far beyond me. I made the mistake of actually watching the show a little while ago, and I had hardly any Idea of the Pokemon Ash was using. When Pokemon first came out, ANYONE who was a true RPG gamer took a good look at it. However, opinions shifted when Nintendo decided to promoted it as a cheesy, kid-friendly, playground gossip, "Gotta- catch 'em all", elementary school romp. At least this is were I began to play Pokemon only in the comfort of my own home versus out in public Not that this was a bad thing though. Children ate this stuff up and cemented Nintendo as the leading hand-held king. The older kids simply went back too the Final Fantasies and Zeldas that had always been highly respected among mature gamers.I still enjoy finding a level 120 Mewto off the coast of Cinnabar and smashing him with one of my 99 Master Balls every now and then. LOL! -KAP
  11. Super Metroid is deffinitely the best Metroid game due to its story line. The way that it pans out to make an emotional mother- child relationship between Samus and the Metroid made for a great climax right before finishing off the Mother Brain. The original was cool because with the code, you could run around as Samus w/o the suit. But she looked way better in 16-bits for beating Super Metroid in under three hours
  12. Final Fantasy III, (VI), is hands down the best RPG ever made! LOL! FF VII, FF II,(IV), FF I, and Zelda: A Link To the Past are also very good. I also thought that Link's Awakening on GB was very good. (I'm very retro, haha)
