Hi, i installed Alcohol 1.2 and deinstalled it after a while. Now my PC doesn´t reconize my CDs but any DVD (Movies/Data) i put in works fine. I did clean the registry with TuneUp utilities but no change...Any Ideas?ThanksBlix

Hi, itś sort of easy, i downloaded suse 10 from novell, burned it on a dvd and installed. Your windows partition will be shrinked and keeps untuched. Works fine for me...

I'm not too sure on my answer, but I don't think dsl0 should be the device if you're using an ethernet router.  The connection should be passed through eth0, as I'm guessing dsl0 is for PCI ASDL modems and not routers on the network.

 

Unfortunately I have no SuSe knowledge, so you must figure out how to disable, get rid of dsl0 and get eth0 starting up at boot and working.  Maybe someone here is more familiar with SuSe and would know?

I guess you´re right, but i can´t start eth0. It´s possibele to start the dsl0 but ca´t connect to the net either. I get error "SIOCGIFFLAGS failed on Socket

Thanks for this info, i downloaded this pro extracted it on root but can´t compile it - Might be a stupid question for you but i have really no idea how to do this. I did follow the instructions in the readme files and the go / go-gui commands work but with the error msg no compiler in path!? I also put my userdata in the networksetting (name/password)

Hi Peoples, I just installed SUSE Linux 10 on my PC, everything worked fine. BUT i can´t connect to the net... I do have a Huawei MT882 adsl+ Modem/Router what works fine on my windows installation.
