hey! i'm the first to open a topic in this forum! I've a problem, i've donwloaded and installed with success SMF board, then i've downloaded Shout Box created by Grudge Shout Box MOD installed it with success...but i can't find the shoutbox....in admin control panel i can set up many options of shout box but i can see it into my forum....on SMF forum them say i have to add some codelines in my index.template.php but i dunno how to do that....can anyone help me? THX in advance!

uhm...these themes seems to be for previous version of SMF, i've downloaded and installed the latest 1.0.2 but those themes are for 10.1...them works fine aloso for my SMF version?

i prefer Linux, it's more difficult of the other two operating systems mentioned but it's also more stable, there's no virus build for it ( i don't know any virus made for linux), there are lots of program for free, it isn't userfriendly as windows or mac but for me linux's charm is located in the difficulty u have to solve the problems, or the more customization option u have =) in few words...linux it's FANTASTIC (but i'm still a newbie on using it )

Yes, you are right...in fact for an equal compression for both like 128 Kb/s the quality of WMA format result better then mp3, for having CD quality with mp3 u must set the bitrate around 128 Kb/s, with WMA u can set the bitrate 96Kb/s and u have the same result...after all with WMA format u have with a minor accupation the same quality of mp3... another thing that contribute to popularity of WMA format is that it's free while for MP3 u must pay some money for a part of code licensed by Fraunhofer/Thomson/RCA...but for me mp3 it's better! why? it's not a M4 product

my pocket don't allow me to buy the latest (damn! i have to get a work -.-)...but my ATI card give me some problems that my old GeForce card hasn't playing with doom 3 after three minutes the game crashes and the system follow the game crash so i have to hard reset my pc -.-

i'm very confused about forum software, i've searched google for info and there are too much of these software, personally i've tried invision powerboard, snitz, phpBB, tried to install vBulletin but it cause me some problem that i don't know how solve....but i'm very impressed by Invision, if i have to put online a forum i think that Invision maybe a very likely choice, it's complete and fast and higly customizable :Dbut if i had to explain a personal technical opinion concerning forum software...i think i'm not be able to do....

i think mp3 files are smaller but i heard that wma files are smaller and have better quality than mp3s...personally i hate M$ products so i don't use wma and make my audio files with mp3 codecs

that's right man only a spyware search program it's no enough, i've tried for a month with only spybot&search but i had to format my disc....OMG u don't know how many refuses i've founded when i installed anti-virus... i remember my face when installed the firewall instead....i couldn't believe how many attemps to enter into my pc .... so for me a secure pc must have at least a good anti virus program with a good firewall and a program like spybot&search..
