  1. For those of you living in the US:I was a heavy Ares and bittorrent user and from my experiences I wouldn't recommend either. Both are great for finding quality files but both will screw you up big time.Ares is loaded with spyware that is embedded DEEP in its system. I know when you install it there is a confirmation to install NAV Helper but that doens't mean anything. Ares has spyware in it and it's caused me to reformat my harddrive a few times.Bittorrent used to be good but now they've really begun to crack down on it and I acutally got caught. With bittorrent you have no choice but to upload and the MPAA or RIAA will have an easier time catching you when you use a system that requires you to upload. For me I just use limewire now. I can get music and some movies but I can't get TV shows like I used to with bittorrent. I'm going to try Soulseek though since many members here seem to like it.
  2. I go to Thailand and spend the night at the airport every time I go to Nepal for a visit. Sadly, w/o a visa I don't get to leave the airport but I know its a wonderful country. Thai Airlines is also one of the best I've ever been in, USair could learn a thing or two...
  3. I go to school at Virginia Tech and it was the talk of the town around here when we used to hold the title of "1st supercomputer" but now I guess we might be 3rd or possibly 4th.You guys might know more about this than I do but has any other University developed a supercomputer besides UNC-Chapel Hill (who developed the first one over two decades ago)?
  4. I never thought that EA was beat at all. I bought ESPN the day it came out and it wasn't worth the money (even though it wasa $20). I think that game hit my PS2 about three times then I just gave it to my friend. However, I really don't like the partnership here. EA Sports can just slack off all they want to now and this is an obvious monopoly. Have you guys heard however of the new football game coming out later this year called "Blitz Playmakers"? It's a Blitz style game based on that ESPN mini-series Playmakers. Should be good. Very smart move by Midway because they don't need any real player names for this game since its based off of TV.
