  2. Compatibility with major vendors as well as reluntancy of people still largely contribute to the use of Windows in the software market. Most vendors still prefer to provide support for updates and patches to windows than other platform. With this, it is practically impossible to shift Microsoft Windows away and start making another OS prominent.
  3. I'm on the same plan here. But I will probably upgrade to a higher bandwidth @ the end of the year as there is a 6.5MBps @ a slight higher price. StarHub rules over SingNet
  4. Thanks alot. It does help. Time to try out some tags
  5. Has anyone successfully gotten a free domain name from them yet??? I would like to know because I can't seem to register for any domain names...
  6. I went to the lucasarts website and check that you can play rebel/imperial republic/separatists.How large scale are the battle in general. I do hope that it is sufficiently big so that it does have an impression of a huge battle.I hope to hear so reviews here before making the plunge to buy the game
  7. Cool, that's what I needed. Thanks a lot. It looks good. For those who would like to know the page, it's here https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html
  8. Coldfusion MX is easy to start learning and use. It's strength lies in its collaboration with other Macromedia MX software such as flash, fireworks. It is not as widely use as PHP, JSP or ASP these days ever since it has been bought over by Macromedia. If you want free and cheap solutions, php and jsp will suit you better. The setting up of coldfusion is easy too as compared to php or jsp. Both php and jsp will require you to have basic knowledge of setting up webservers and plug-ins.
  9. The gams has become plagued with too much cheats!!! People with auto firing M203, One shot kills... Head shots...I love this game for its team based co-op play, but I hate those cheaters!!!!"And I keep missing advanced marksman by 1 shot "Ah nvm, deleted the game to make way for other games
  10. The internet will probably evolve into another higher form. Just like in the days of modem based BBS, time has changed. The internet will be bigger and better and hopefully, better more powerful services will be available to the public. We love our Internet.
  11. The following link has many good freewares and open-source software on the net. Link My personal favourite site is Sourceforge.net
  12. Attachment size is limited to 10MB isn't it? So we are still not able to upload large sized attachment onto GMAIL... I guess that's just one way for google to prevent abuse of their systems. And as mentioned by earlier posts, the exponential increase in the number of invites available on the net has made the service not as attractive as before http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  13. I used to adore IBM harddisk. I had many of them since the mid 90s. But my area does not have IBM anymore so I've sine switch to Seagate. They are pretty alright and the price is reasonable.
  14. Whether we like it or not, Microsoft is here to stay. Since they are going to be here, might as well support them :)Though, Linux and Unix, I adore them too
  15. I'm currently reading this textbook which you guys may find of interest in the field of software engineeringSoftware Engineering: A Practitioner's ApproachBy Roger Pressman (6th Edition)
