  1. I dont know about you guys, but the only Area 51 is remember was the arcade version that was akin to Time Crisis. That game was awesome. Good-old-fashioned killing of aliens. Ah, it really takes me back. Sure the graphics were crap (half the time I didn't know if i was shooting at an alien or a building's support beam), but I still rocked.I'm pretty sure that's not what you guys are talking about, but it sounds interesting. Does anyone have a site for it?
  2. Wow. I just saw some screenshots of the PS3, and they just blew me away. Honestly, I started drooling. They're like real life pictures. People are going to have hear attacks playing this thing, I swear. It's that good. http://imptestrm.com/rg-erdr.php?_dnm=www.ps3portal.com&_cfrg=1&_drid=as-drid-2300300503455222
  3. I hear the Revolution is going to have some sort of touch feature to it. Honestly, I don't know where they're going with this. I mean, sure the DS is cool, but it's kinda hard to control what with the stylus and the pad at the same time. Also, I think the GC is a far cry from the PS2 and and X-Box. Sure, SSBM is pretty fun, when it comes to serious gaming, the GC just doesn't cut it. I'm not saying the GC is bad (I own one, and I love it ), but I just miss the glory days of the N64. Also, in response to Neonpaul, I don't think it's a matter of advertising. I think the main deterrent is the innovation and strange ideas themselves. These could only be embrace dby those willing to give something out of the ordinary a try, and lets face it: not everybody likes change.
  4. Wow, this stuff is really cool! I'm really a freak when it comes to keeping my computer "clean". I think the stuff here will really help, thanks!
  5. Apparently so. I too enjoy the Rush Hour movies. RH3 is expected to come out around 2006, and is apparently to be set in Africa. Go figure.
  6. While, I have not looked into this, I do have a friend who was able to successfully obtain a domain there. This was done quite recently, which leads me to think that whatever the problem was might have recently been fixed. Try it again. If it doesn't work, contact me. I may have obtained additional info on the matter.
  7. I'm sorry to say, there is not a whole lot in common between the two. You see, TI-BASIC is designed to create simple, efficient programs useful in performing routine and mundane tasks. VB, however, is used to generate applications, which are essentially a conglomerate of smaller subprograms. The reason for this is that there VB is geared to be interactive and, well, visual. This means stuff like buttons and unique text imputs, for starters. For each one of these, there must be a small sub program written for it. The syntax is fairly straight forward, though. While the general idea for both is similar, VB requires quite a bit more time and time and effort. However, VB can be used to make things ranging from simple calculators and games to advanced professional applications such as text editors and web browsers. The capabilities are endless, but like I said, it can get pretty messy. For more info, I'd suggest Codepedia (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/)
  8. I agree. The Blizzard folks were geniuses with the free Battle.net service. However, if you look at runescape now and compare it to the original runescape, it's come a long way. They revamped the battle engine and greatly improved the graphics. not too shabby for a free mmorpg.
  9. Anyone know anything about Starcraft 2? This is what the folks at blizzard say: "Although we have not made any announcements and do not have a development or release timeline, we do fully intend to revisit the world of StarCraft on PC at some point in the future." I hope so. What with 3 Warcraft titles in a row, I seriously hope they won't end it with some lame FPS like Ghost. I mean, come on! The thing's not even going to be out for PC! Also, they have touched Diablo in ages.
  10. Starcraft is the game to which all other RTS games are compared with.Since it's debut in 1998, Starcraft has never declined in popularity since. It is honestly the first and probably only RTS game in which i have sat and played for hours on end. Forget your fancy, awesome graphics games, Starcraft is where all the fun is!
