  1. Check The IDE Cabes, One Might Be Bad. Check The Power Source.If This Doesn't Fix The Problem, Try Putting The harddrive into another computer... and see if it will work? if it does just transfer the files over :-D
  2. Ok, I Have 3 computer In My House. I Had Them All Setup and Working Fine... But Now I Want to switch one of them to linux, but still share a connection.Ok This Is How My Network Works....1st Computer: Connection Computer:2nd Computer: XP Box:3rd Computer: Linux:I Have The Network Up and running Fine, But I Have Tried To Put Linux On My Network Before.. And it couldn't connect to the net, share files, or anything..Is There Something That i Have TO Config? Or What?If you Know How TO Help Me... Please Do!
  3. Yea I Use CPanel To Delete Pre Installed Scrips... But I Like Deleting them manualy better.. then you know that they are gone, and aren't wasting space.

  5. I Heard That Debian Takes Up A LOT Of Processing Power Tho? I Ran Suse On a 233 with a 8g Harddrive and it ran fine.. it laged a Little... But whats Gonna Work Fast On a 233?
  6. Yes If You Are Behind a Firewall You Need to use Passive.You Might Also Want to Check If Your Port Is correct... I Know In SmartFTP You hae to Manually Set What Port To Connect to.
  7. you Might Try Editing The PHP Coding, See If That E-mail Adress Shows up in the Coding Of Your Site, And Change it to yours.Or If Your using PHP Nuke, Go Into To The " Preferences " In The Admin Panel, and set your e-mail there.- Good ideas- Never Tested
  8. Well I Would Recommend Starting With Suse 9. You Can Download The OS And Install It To The Computer Its self. Or You Can Get A " CD Based " Version of it... where the OS runs off of a CD. https://www.suse.com/ You Can Download The CD Here. I Would Recommend NOT STARTING WITH RedHat.. I Tried to.. and Its Not Easy... atleast for me
  9. I Had This Same Problem With My Network.. A XP Machine, And 2 Win @K Machines.Setup a DHCP Server, And Let it Configure The IPs. ( You Can Find Them On Google)Make Sure Your Network Setting Are Correct. If IE Opens And It Shows The " Page Cannot Be displayed" Click The Link that says " Detect My Network Settings ". And That Will Configure The Computer To Work With Your Network.I Too Had a Slow Down Of My connection (56K). This Problem I Have Not figured Out Yet. When I Do I will Post Again
  10. You Know how some sites have Those Little Icons Before There Url? Well I Am Going To Tell You How To Make One :-D Step 1 You Need A 16*16 Image.. You Can Use One You Have Or Make One Of Your Own. Step 2 Make The Image A Favicon. Click Here. Step 3 After You Make The Image A .ico Put It In your "Home Folder" On your Website... The same Place as your Index. Step 4 Then You Open Your Index.html... In A HTML Editor, And Insert This Code In Your <head> tags: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"> change The favicon.ico to The Name of the .ico File That you Made. Then Save Your Page, And Preview It And There Should Be a Favicon Next to your Link.
