Here is one of them: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Or here is an article that gives some good hints: http://www.masternewmedia.org/2003/04/30/how_to_remotely_track_usage.htm I hope that will help you gen further.
  2. I you want to connect to windows share then use samba on your linux computer!!but first of alle you need to bring ehternet up as cryptwizard said.
  3. I use both Corel Draw and Photoshop.They are both very good for different purposes. Corel Draw is exelent for vectorbased grafic, witch allso can be exported for the web. Photoshop on the other hand is very good for pixelbased grafics. I mainly us it for alterations of existing grafic, witch Corel Draw can not do (except if I usa Corel Photopaint, but that program is a lot less advanced than Photoshop).In basic the main reason for using Photoshop for the net, is that it is good for handling pixelbased grafic. Corel Draw is more for illustrations to print.
  4. I did get a forum at bbfreedom.com, but it seems like the server is gone.....
  5. Thanks. That is part of the solution. The problem is that it takes EVERY THING to the boarder.The logo is in the same frame as my menu, and the menu is not going to bee all the way to the edge.How can I get it to be only the picture?I first tried to use the pure code, but I could not figure out where to place it. In what area of the coding is that going to be?
  6. Hi I am using this script and I like the effect:.drop { position: absolute; width: 3; filter: flipV(), flipH(); font-size: 40; color: white }</style><script language="JavaScript"><!--function SymError(){ return true;}window.onerror = SymError;var SymRealWinOpen = window.open;function SymWinOpen(url, name, attributes){ return (new Object());}window.open = SymWinOpen;//--></script><script language="javascript">snow = true; // false-rain; true-snowsnowsym = " * " //These are the symbols for eachrainsym = " ' " //You can put images here.howmany = 20 //How many drops/snowflakes?/**************Do not need to change anything below***********/if(snow){sym = snowsym; speed=1; angle=10; drops=howmany}else{sym = rainsym; speed=50; drops=howmany; angle=6}movex = -speed/angle; movey = speed; count = 0;function moverain(){for(move = 0; move < drops; move++){xx[move]+=movex; yy[move]+=mv[move];hmm = Math.round(Math.random()*1);if(xx[move] < 0){xx[move] = maxx+10;}if(yy[move] > maxy){yy[move] = 10;}drop[move].left = xx[move]drop[move].top = yy[move]+document.body.scrollTop;}setTimeout('moverain()','1')}</script><br><script language="JavaScript"><!--<!--function MM_reloadPage(init) { //reloads the window if Nav4 resized if (init==true) with (navigator) {if ((appName=="Netscape")&&(parseInt(appVersion)==4)) { document.MM_pgW=innerWidth; document.MM_pgH=innerHeight; onresize=MM_reloadPage; }} else if (innerWidth!=document.MM_pgW || innerHeight!=document.MM_pgH) location.reload();}MM_reloadPage(true);// -->//--></script>
  7. I am using Deramweaver to make my homepage, but I have a challenge. I can not get my logo (a GIF grafic) all the way to the edge of the browser.I guess I will have to insert some code manually. I dont thing Dreamweaver can do it.Can anyone help me with some code?
  8. I am looking for site where I can get a free forum. It got to be editable.I have tried to install one on my own server, but it did not work. I tried several types. No result. I have mySQL on the server.That is why I am looking for on somewhere else. Add free please.
  9. I am looking for a good OCR tracing program. I have a whole book with printed adresses I need to get to my computer, and it takes way to long time to copy it manually.I have tried "softwriting 3.2" but it did not work with my scanner. An Agfa 5200, even though it has TWAIN interface.I need to get the text to MS Word.What is good? It would be nice if it also could "learn" to trace my handwriting.
  10. If you have a lot of pictures you want to convert. I would recomend either AcDsee because there you can do the convertion with a lot of files at once. I think you can find it as shareware.Or you can use Photoshop and make Actions that does all the work for you once you have opened the files.
  11. Thanks for all the input! It was just in time. I will soon give my site a total makeover. A menu is the first impression, therefor it has to be nice.
  12. I am usinge Photosop and CorelDraw. Photoshop for pixelbased grafics and CD for victorbased. You can allso use CorelPhotopain for pixel, but it is not as intuative as Photoshop.What I really like about Photoshop is the feature for Save to web. I know that it uses ImageReady, but I have not seen any program that can compress pictures so much and still have the good quality.Them you have the feature of making Actions in Photoshop. I make a lot of pictures ready for the net, and to make it easy for my self I have automated the process of Save to web. I only press one botton and the the pic is recised, saved for web and closed with out changing the original. That was 13 click reduced to 1.
  13. I have tried many of the P2P programs. I allso use eMule for "rare" files, but it is SO slow on my computer. I use BitTorrents for movies. That is really nice and fast.Here in my contry there is a lot of focus on not sharing copyrighted stuf. The firm in charge is mostly focusing on DC++, Kazaa and eDonkey. That is why I mainly use BT.
  14. I got a Turtle Beach - Santa Cruz. I love my sound card. Espesially because it came with a subwolfer. THAT makes a difference!! I can allso make surrond sound by taking the top of the speekers and move them behind me. Nice.
  15. Sorry. found the reason my self. I was running the english version, he was using the danish one.
