Halo 2, although i didn't really played it yet, only for a few moments. But hl2 sucked so much asses, it shouldn't be difficult to do better..."Halo2 just flat out sucks. It's hyped, overrated and is just like any other medicore FPS. The plot is something like you'd see on Star Trek or something."exactly, but change Halo 2 in HL2. I mean, hl2 has to be the most overrated and overhyped game ever. There was no story, no suprise gameplay elements, no new things, no multiplayer, steam... The graphics were good (only beaten by far cry, doom3 and maybe Painkiller) and the gravity gun saved the game, but really, why is this the game of the year? The hype, people...The best thing they did was releasing HLDM, the only reason that i didn't bring the game back to the shop... It still didn't make the game a hl1...

I do not try to convince firefox users to switch to opera. However, I think opera kicks firefox' *bottom* . But that doesn't matter, the point is that gmail should work on opera, a well known browser who follows the rules of the W3C perfectly. I don't get why gmail works with activex (or the mozzila alternative). There are so many cross browser alternatives... I have to use firefox for checking my gmail account, and I don't like it!

1. Yes, but that's the problem of being the most used os Windows is not to blame2. Not true, xp isn't that bugy, I have used various linux distributions (and i still use debian) and i guess they all have many updates and patches... There's nothing wrong with that, all programs are written by people, and people make mistakes. Ms programmers don't make many mistakes, their error tollerance is very low... Still, the problem for microsoft is (and for many software companies), that they use pieces of all their previous windows versions again. And they copy the bugs too 3. If people with as much knowledge as most linux users tried to tweak xp, they would see that if you know what you're doing, you can make windows much more stable by disabeling some services for example... "BUT" 1. True, but there are for most programs alternatives for linux and mac that do their jobs as good as the windows program. Only games (games for mac? uhhh ) and some very specific programs are kinda windows only... 2. It's not really an argument since cross platform file specifications and things like that make that you can use all your windows file on linux and vice versa... You can talk on msn with several linux clients or your ms word docs can be read by most if not all office packages... 3. I thought macOS was the most userfriendly? Never noticed it though, but i've never been a hardcore mac user so i wouldn't know...

Who Is Considering Switching?
Tweak37 replied to MajesticTreeFrog's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I don't like the whole mac concept... I don't see why i should switch... Just because they're cheap(er)? I'm a debian user for a long time and I don't need a company that decides which hard- and software i use... I use windows too, since i am "a gamer". But the day that debian (or whine) can run all my games or the day that I am not interested anymore in games, it will be over for windows... -
I use opera and I didn't pass test 12... Do you only use opera's pop up killer? Special preferences or something?
-
I use windowsblinds and the themes at wincustomize.com. These official themes are nices but quite boring after a while...

Xbox Live is great, but i wouldn't buy a xbox or a ps2 anymore. It won't take lang for the next gen consoles to arrive...

Dell, Windows, Or Me? Weird problem with speakers....
Tweak37 replied to Admiral Lyoko Samus's topic in Hardware Workshop
Indeed, it could be a pure hardware malfunction... Did you try those speakers with another pc? Maybe they're just crappy -
150 invites with 3 accounts? How the hell did you do that? I have only 6 invites with each of my accounts... Still, I think everybody who wanted to switch has gmail now... Now Opera support, and fast!

What Is The Best Digital Camera
Tweak37 replied to chris1234's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
It all depends on what you want to pay and how "pro" you are... There are so many types and so many price classes. I guess there is one golden rule: don't get fixed on the "megapixel", there is many more to it... -
Web Browsers Which Browser type do u prefer?
Tweak37 replied to hast-webben's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah, but i guess that's not opera's fault... Gmail should "support" opera, not vice versa. If gmail used an approved code language instead of activex, then there wasn't a problem... "Anyone who slaps a 'this page is best viewed with Browser X' label on a Web page appears to be yearning for the bad old days, before the Web, when you had very little chance of reading a document written on another computer, another word processor, or another network." -Tim Berners-Lee in Technology Review, July 1996 Any Browser now! -

Riiight... there are american nuclear weapons in belgium, and the navo head office... Seriously, it won't be North Korea either, cause the americans are too afraid . North Korea has a real army, 4 milion soldiers (5th biggest army in the world) . All the food goes to the army there... -
It's xbox for me, but it's not about the hardware differences (although xbox has a lot better graphics, still crappy compared to pc btw ) It all depends what games you like to play. A reason to buy a ps2 could be GTA San Andres, but xbox has imo so much more to offer. But that's my opnion

I don't know, but i guess you could find out by counting the daily unique hits. If it is bigger than your monthly statistic of uniqe hits, than you know the answer right? But is think it count all the daily unique hits... If you visite a site twice in a month, it seems logic to me you are counted twice. A unique visitor equals one visit of one user. There is propably an option to set the time between two visits when a visitor should be counted again...

Which Is Faster? Dsl Or Cable? Which is faster???
Tweak37 replied to sydney28th's topic in Computer Networks
It totaly depends on the provider. Here in Belgium, we have two big isp's. One is cable and one is adsl/vdsl. Max speed for adsl is 8 mbps, but vdsl can handle 50 mbps, and will be available soon. Cable is now @10 mbps, but eurodocis 2 can change that too. Cable has other bad point, like the shared net as lhunath said and downlaod volume limitations. -
ASP or PHP Which you think is better

full flash sites good or bad?
Tweak37 replied to r3d1405241470's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Flash sites are bad The most important task for a website is to give information. But with full flash sites that's not the case. I think it's only acceptable if the whole point of the site is the design... -
Browse Happy Campaign anti ie, pro web standard
Tweak37 replied to r3d1405241470's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Opera user here... All my pages are xhtml 1.1 IE is old. Back in the days that netscape ruled the internet, ms made the new IE from scratsh while nestcape kept updating their old code. In the end, netscape's code was not workable anymore... (ask the mozilla crew ) But now IE has the same problem... -
I use HTML Kit too. Dreamweaver is great but you don't always need all those options... O and HTML Kit has tidy! Seriously, Html kit is clean and handy, and it uses not much ram, unlike dreamweaver

how do u make menu? dynamic menu
Tweak37 replied to wannabeeaweak's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Dhtml imo... It's just the best way for creating menus... If you don't like coding, there are even very good programs that generate the code for any menu you want. You just have to create it in wysiwyg... NafStudio for example...
