  1. Hmmm, I thought the same thing when I found out about the 2gb give away...But then I didn't really think of doing the holographic thing seing as it might be more expensive, and how I had just heard of it now.I guessed that they probably use terabytes....And probably have 100-1000 about....which gives about 100000000-100000000mb'sAnd they probably use gzip compression.Since they probably have a lot of servers that will help to....Which helps with their indexing and with their caching system.Just my guess though.

  2. Well..IT sounds like you deleted your original account and now you are using the account you made. All acounts are made admin by default....I think anyways...You've also got a lot of adaware startup programs.....Why so many.Hmmm....I can't really c the problem...Don't use some abbreviations lol...I'm not familiar with them.

  3. lol...Yes I also agree with webguide on the fraud thing. As for the earning per click...It basicly depends on what adds are clicked...For example...If you click on a add for casino or wehosting or possibly even computers...You make more money.but say you click a ad for rabits or packman...You don't get as much...It all depends on how much each thing makes and or is worth in reality.I'm basicly only bassing this on google's adsense though. But I'm sure they all follow a similiar system...As they all work ont he same principales...Make a cheap buck :PGood luck.

  4. Hmm....Try norton. Then convert to firefox.also maybe you could sue windows built in back up system? Then install adware SE personal editionLook through program files and the windows directory...Arrange the icons by last modified...Then look for suspicious things...See if you can then uninstall them through add remove programs. If not run adware and or norton. Then open up your cntrl alt delete thing...And go to processes.Close anything that looks very suspicious...Make sure you know what you're doing for that part.If all those fails and you cna't install a new browser...Try upgrading versions of IE to the latest...Or downgrade then upgrade :PAlso you could try SP2....Whenever somethigns wrong with my comp I follow those steps...Minus the ones specific for this problem...And My comp always gets fixed.Also...Try browsing more securely...Raise your preferences...Try not to look on ill made sites...But that's a acquired talent :o.Hope those help you out...From what I've seen try the add-on for add ware for the hijack thing :PL8r

  5. Hey guys...I just instaleld smf on some random server to test it out n such for a mini clan site...

and whenever people try to read the forums this happens:

SecureSSI: Your script (/usr/export/www/hosting/spacewaste/smf/index.php) is not allowed to access /usr/export/www/hosting/spacewaste/smf/index.php outside of your account directory.Warning: Unknown(): Access denied: in Unknown on line 0Warning: Unknown(/usr/export/www/hosting/spacewaste/smf/index.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0Warning: (null)(): Failed opening '/usr/export/www/hosting/spacewaste/smf/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:') in Unknown on line 0

    the link is Smf Link

Hopefully somebody *trekkie* can help me out...Smf seems a lot cooler then last time I looked at it :P

  6. A index page is just the default page most servers set for your website to not show the directory listing. As a security mesure it's nice to keep a index page within every directory of your website....But if you were talking about indexing...Well indexing is just used to help organise and make searching your computer faster. Major search engines have the best indexing technologie in the world...Which is why their results load so fast :) Example....GOOGLE--Hope that helped.

  7. Disk indexing is VERY helpfull....Without indexing parts of my computer would take forever to open through the explorer window.I have a folder with a little over 1000 files (my music folder :) ) and it used to take forever to load...But with indexing it takes half the time.Another good effect of indexing is it allows you to find information abouty our computer a lot faster...Like say you select a certain amount of files n hit properties to see how much space they take up....if you have indexing off it would take a long time to find out the amount of space...But if you have indexing on it will show you the amount of space alot faster.Indexing will actualy also improve searching speed...Which is very good if you are unorganised like myself :(And I'm not exactly sure if it takes space either. It just takes a little while to index it in the begining. So I really see no good reason why indexing is relevent to turn off...We make improvements to systems to make peoples lives ezer...Why destroy your ezness?

  8. LOL...Oh god...Being paid to be a mod...Tell me how that one goes...And you know if you ever find sucha place...You'll pm your old buddy SpaceWaste right ? :)Nah...The people that get paid to work on forums are first of all normaly admins if anything...Cuz a mod's job is normaly just for kicks n such.N secondly rearely are admins paid either...Unless they work on other parts of the website..For example helpdesk or some random thing like that.Besides only companies making vast amounts of money can afford to hire people for things like moderators...And if they did they'd have a stricked requirement sheet...Plus probably only hire people that have been witht he company for a long time.Oh well...Best of luck on your online jobsearch....Some companies do hire just to work online form your comp though...Like nilsc said so himself that even when he's home he's working through his comp :(

  9. lol...The only reason yahoo doesn't go up against msn for the nudge feature is because as moonwitch said...."Money is a determining factor in court" or something like that...Msn has more money...Espicialy since they have merged with sympatico, and have freaking microsoft to back them up!There's no way yahoo would go up against that.As to the current Xfire situation...If xfire stole any technologie from yahoo at all it's probably nothing big...Just some of the code for the chat system. But I'm pretty sure they haven't stolen anything...And that yahoo just wants to own Xfire. Although I really don't see a point to yahoo using xfire considering it's not yahoos style, and they would need to do some renovating to even get the service working for them (buy more servers)I think yahoos just bored and see's ez pickings for money. The basterds.
