  1. I went to the manual but I am not able to find the function that moves the value of a variable to the next item in an array of MySQL query results. What would be the function (I'm pretty sure that there is one for something like this) and how would I use it? Or, simply put, what is the PHP equivalent of ASP's RS.MoveNext function?
  2. Thanks lhunath. Your reply is just what I was looking for, getting results from the query and then extracting data from a specific "cell" (as it would appear in Access). I've implemented what you've said into my code and I am able to get the desired results now. Thanks again.
  3. I am just beginning to use PHP and MySQL together. I was wondering, in PHP, how do you access information you have retrieved from a MySQL database? I've used ASP with an MS Access database before, and in that scenario the information returned through an SQL query can be stored in a recordset. Basically, I am wanting to know how to do this in PHP.
  4. I have a WD 120 GB hard drive, it's in this computer I put together in July 2004. Runs well and I haven't had any problems yet. I'm only using about 10.5 GB of it though. But for the money it wasn't bad, I got it for $70 at Best Buy. (Was after a mail-in rebate, took awhile to get that )
  5. I too am going to have to say PHP. I know quite a bit of ASP, only because I had QBasic and then Visual Basic in high school. But I am currently getting into PHP, and it seems way more powerful and universal to use. ASP is windows based and it's hard to find free hosting that supports ASP. PHP hosting is easier to find, and requires little modifications to be run from OS to OS (ie: very few differences between PHP for UNIX and PHP for Linux). And PHP is open source, which makes it all the better.
