This might be a noob question but, can you download Macromedia Flash (like the tool, not the browser plugin) legally?
-
No offense to anyone who is planning to do that with their site, but I think it's just a waste of time. I'd rather create something that would be useful and would attract a lot of people to come to my site.

The best editor ever!! The title sais it all.
chronogamer28 replied to websaint's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Meh, I don't use webpage editors, ESPECIALLY not FrontPage. I just use NotePad and program all the 'raw' HTML. -
Well, I'm not worried that my computer is running slow since I have a really good processor (2.66GHz) and my RAM neither (1024MB). Spyware, now that's somethin I should look into removing. I don't know if I have any, but I'll look into those programs.

ASRock > Cheap And Good Motherboard motherboards
chronogamer28 replied to chino's topic in Hardware Workshop
My mobo is ASUStek P4S8X. Pretty good mobo and the company is very good with its products. -
I think that some of those techniques would be more over damaging your hard drive, shortening its life span, and reducing the chance that you'll recover the data from the drive itself. I always backup my files on my secondary drive so if something like a comp crash does happen, I'm always ready with my files.

Under-Clocking the Processor Just a Question
chronogamer28 replied to OpaQue's topic in Hardware Workshop
Meh, I'd prefer to OVERclock my processor, only if I had the right power supply to run it after that and could keep the heat temperature in there low enough so everything else don't get burnt out. -
Intel is better at cooling the processor, I'll give you that. But AMD's quality of processors is better, especially their 64-bit processors. AMD just REALLY needs to work on their cooling solutions and heatsinks.

Boast Your Computers Specs. Feel free to brag

To me, TECHNICALLY, this DOES fall under the Hardware Workshop theme of the topic. I don't see why not... -

Was talkin about yours, the ones at the VERY top, first post. Yours is actually one of the better ones, the ones at the top are basically just a background effect with text, no pictures or anything. -
Just upgraded to Ad-Aware SE Personal. Pretty good and better than Personal 6.0

The danger of putting up your e-mail address is that people can mass spam you with e-mail based subscriptions and stuff. Very dangerous to give out your e-mail on a forum where anyone and everyone could see it.

What Think You Of Windows Xp-95-98-2000
chronogamer28 replied to gc472118's topic in Websites and Web Designing
XP runs faster on my rig. Also peaks out performance too. -

I personally believe that if Intel goes higher than 3.7GHz, they are going to have to upgrade to Pentium 5 class

OS Talk Which OS do you think is the best?
chronogamer28 replied to almoo7's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Actually, Windows and Linux are about the same I think. Most of the people in USA use Windows because that's what comes with the package if you buy a new computer. In Europe, where they use mostly Linux, it's the same deal, I think. And also, don't forget about the Mac OS. That's also pretty popular if people like Macintosh computers. I'm usually not a Mac fan, but the Mac G5 is definetely something to drool about. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ -
Yeah, that's the same with me. I upgrade my computer, and then one day, I find these random toolbars on IE. Terrible! Also, I read in PCWorld that the Department of Homeland Security has declared that IE is potentially unsafe to run on your computers. What a blow to Microsoft!

My suggestion to you is to first consider using another filetype other than .GIF: ..JPEG. It is the smallest photo filetype and .GIF happens to be the second largest next to .BMP. And .JPEG usually comes out with better resolution photos. In order to make one, you are going to have to download a photo editing program, such as PhotoShop. http://www.adobe.com/digitalimag/main.html

In USA, we just call it 'at' (i.e. orintex176 at gmail dot com (BTW: that's not a real e-mail address)) All the animals here have their own names.

I usually use cookies to keep like login information intact so I don't have to keep logging into a website whenever I go there. However, if you feel that cookies are invading your privacy, Ad-Aware 6.0 addresses that problem. It targets invididual files that it thinks is spyware (i.e. cookies, files, registry values) Good program to look into. http://www.lavasoft.com/
