Well loll seems like it works now...I changed everything I saw was not UTF-8 to UTF-8 in my PHPMyAdmin because I kno my eb apps use UTF-8 character encoding...Thanks anyways.Edit: Oh and I used Import in PHPMyAdmin to restore the DB instead of copying and pasting the file contents like I did the first time... Could have this helped?

Yeah I'm on PHPMyAdmin on both hosts...I backep-up the DB from the CPanel of my first host, then tried to restore it thrgough the PHPMyAdmin of my second host.Could it be the problem?

Hi!I backed-up a forum mysql db and when I try to restore it on another host, the special characters, like the French " ? " or " ? " are replaced with weird characters like "A?~" or question marks. And in the .sql file too the characters are "corrupted". The current charset was latin1-sweedish-ci if I remember it well... (my host on which i had the database is currently down )I know it's about Character encoding and things like that but I can't figure things out.Could someone help me?Thanks in advance.

Hahaha, lol...My first site was a noob one about my favorite sport : Taekwondo. I was about 13 or 14 when I made it. I hosted it on a crappy host with almost no B/W and space and no PHP/MySQL.It had like 10 pages and had an ugly design that would make you all throw up :PBut anyways, I improved and learned a lot through years, so I guess now I'm better

Me I bought a veeeeery good book (but the price is about 30 euros...) it's called PHP4.x from Campus Press, they have a liste, an explanation, and an example of every function of php4...But this bokk was a limited edition so i don't know if you'll be able to find it.

I use Macromedia Fireworks MX and Adobe Photoshop CS... I think that when you combine both together, you can do amazing designs and effects... Personnaly, I think Photoshop has more features than Fireqorks, but Fireworks is more compact and allows you to do more like vector editors like Adobe Illustrator (with paths...). Hi. I just wanna make you know that program : Blender. It's a free 3D program, but it's a very good one, there's a lot of functions, and even a game engine that allows toy to create your own games... The program is downloadable at : https://www.blender.org/. I recommend that you try it, even if it's not as good as 3DSM or Maya, it has pretty cool functions.
