Yeah, i made the Beam and the shatter effect. I was kinda a random idea... i wanted another Popout sig and then i saw this Render in a wallpaper with laser shots in the background and i had that idea! I agree about the text... it is something i neeeeed to improve on.But im working on it! I just thought that with all the tech stuff a little pixel font could hide in there... its more a kinda Tag than a username.Making sigs can take anything from 30 mins to a few hours... it depends how much is needed and what has to be edited/drawn in. Im still learning shortcuts to alot of stuff and i havnt been doing this very long.... only 4 months.I use Photoshop CS2 like most people and get most of my renders of... well, render sites. Here is my two latest designs: (Both are in PNG format so require Firefox or simular to view properly. Internet Explorer wont show transparency.) This is the first, it was kinda random and would be to large for some forums: This was inspired by the first where i wanted to expand on the firepower theme. I think the blast may be to dominating: Comments and any pointers??

hmmm, no offence but your getting worse.Two mayjor problems: The text which you said dosnt fit and hell... it dosnt.And the render hidden behind those damn scan lines!! Bad move. But, other than that from a Design point of view its very cool. It would work better if you sorted those two problems out, but for now its a nice design and a good concept. If you wanted a rating though i have to say it gets a poor 3.9/10 in its current state.To dr1v3r, Put up or shut up! Unless you can prove it, Saint_Michael is still the better graphical artist.Keep up the good work SM but dont slip back down.

Hmmm, its all good adding new angles to "spice things up" a bit buuuut not that whole Michael Jackson effect of leaning...It would look better if she was leaning ON something rather than just leaning. Maybe draw something into the background?The light effect is good on her. I like it, but i wish the background was brighter because the Render and the BG look way to seperate.But, the ice-y kinda effect on the BG does work well.Get a better font too, have you tried a pixel font??Overall, good work... again... not as good as your other stuff.Rate: 6.8/10 <.<

I have another sig to show. Yes it is big but it fits under the forum rules where i use it (600x400). I know GIF makes some bits look dodgy but the only difference i can see is in the White gradient. Gif: PNG (Which is sooo much better): Comments and help?? Unless you have something useful to say dont bother!

I agree, Greenday are crap....But, so are Metallica... those money grabbing copyright retards. Should throw them both into a big whole and role grenades down the side and see who is left. I also argree with the Generation thing, im a teenager but the ammount of Greenday and Metallica hoodies i see everywere just makes me want to cry "What happend to us...". Ever get that feeling? Mainstreem is a said world. Never mind.

Im still sticking with Rookie.Seems everyone thinks your losing it... did you ever have it in the first place??Still, i prefer your other work to this one.

Hey rookie, i thought i should offer my opinion as you commented on mine... I like it alot, its very cool. I like the way you have made the render sink in but it has lost its place as a render. There needs to be something else there on the left. Untill you said it was an anime chick i couldnt see it at all. Ill i could see was the black object on the left which looks like the symbol from "The Blair Witch Project". The border is dreadful, sorry but its completely out of place and od. I think it would benifit from a bigger border. The text fits but the font dosnt. Not sure why, just what i can see... I think it would make a great background but i think its a lonely sig by itself. If you want a rating, i say 7.9/10 for a background but only 3.5/10 for a sig. Nice work though, like your other stuff. Keep it up.

Thanks for your comments!To answer some of them though, like with the "Live To Die" sig - its supposed to be Right aligned in a sig so that she is aganst the edge.The "unnamed" one has no wind filter, i just used to marquee tool to cut away at it so i didnt get dodgy Gif pixels.I would use PNG, but this is not the only forum i show my work on and unfortunatly my current main Forum most of the users are on I.E. Iv tried my best to get the most out of GIF and i know it can be obvious sometimes the effects of that format. Its a shame really.GIF has to have a defined edge, if not then the format will start trying to "Dither" pixels so it looks blurred but just comes out crap. Hence why square cutouts look really sharp. PNG i know is better, and i know what kind of new things i could do with alpha channels etc... but its a shame cus iv seen people complain with things like "Looks crap cus of its big white background" and my response of "Get Firefox you IE idiot. :|"Anyhow, thanks for all your responses! I will take it all onboard next time i make another popout.

I have some more things to showof and get some feedback for. Im kinda on a Popout craze lately. (Some background: Iv been using Photoshop since May2005) Shame MS I.E dosnt support PNG transparency but iv tried my best with GIF to get it to do what i want: 1. Gundam Sig - This took a while and was my first experiment. ______________________ 2. Purple Faith - More of a design than a normal popout. ______________________ 3. This dosnt have a name, it was a 20 min experiment to test some of photoshops "Save For Web" functions. ______________________ 4. Live To Die - This is my most recent one. I was messing around with design ideas. I kinda like this sig without the render... maybe the BG is to corporate? Meh. Thats all for now. Hope to get some interesting feedback or if you really cant be assed just say which ones your favourite.

Ill have another go and see if i can improve it cus i have alot of comments to work on... ;)That arm is out of place because its from something else.Ill try and correct the colours and see if i can come up with a more traditional border. Ill have MarkII up as soon as i can be bothered...

Thanks for your coments. Yes, the text is incorrect but... Xisto dosnt have an edit button so i didnt bother replacing it. (I have made the change though).I wasnt sure about the border so i just did whatever was easiest.Its not supposed to be graphically wonderful. It was supposed to be funny... it just kinda drifted into being a sig. The background is simple because i tried a complex one and it just ruined it. Any reason for the double post and the lack of anything helpful Frozen??

I like it, nice one.Pros: Good image and all the colours work.You did a great job on the pop out - something iv been wanting to learn.Where did (link?) you find the tutorial for PNG popouts/transparency??Cons: It is a bit simple and im also not a fan of text over render.The background could do with some improvments and more detail.Otherwise, thats about it. Very cool work!

I think its stunning! But i agree with everyone else about the white and the scan lines over the text... It looks out of place a bit. But other than that its great.The eyes look perfect, its a perfect focus point!! The font needs to be moved a bit but other than the scan lines i really like all the other stuff around it. Very cool.Id say, 7.9/10 as it is.

^ I agree with the above ^My PC-Cillin (trend Micro) subscription just ran out.... great timing!! :)I have lots of extra security... though iv never had a problemUsaully windows is quite happy to kill itself sometimes. Yay to M$! Its always the target for everything! Mostly because Linux users know how to avoid viruses etc...

Eek PSP!! ... ............... ....................I havnt a clue about the program, but on the art side it isnt bad for a first attempt.Usaully you get people using badly cut images and text which looks like it isnt part of the whole thing at all! (No offence to anyone, just keep it in mind)I got confused the first time i read the text, The "What" looks out of place so i kinda read it "Look at I have what done" - so i think the "what" needs a new home slightly higher.The images are ok, i dont quite understand it but usaully sigs repersent the artist and what they like/feel. Maybe add a bigger border in there too, that would help. I can see some scan lines there too (I think), they work but are a bit to dull to see. Otherwise, for a first go and using PSP - damn good! Well done.

I like it very much, but i dont think its your best. (After browsing your site)I agree with Becca, i think the font is a little out of place. The whole image is very curvy but the text dosnt look right there... it need to be at an angle or curved somewhere.I like the colour, but it is lacking detail in the background. If i needed to rate, ill give this a 7.4/10 (aganst your other stuff.).

Nice use of php but i bit of a pain for a Rate The sig Above you thread...Im going to rate Johnny's sig seeing as it was the last one i saw.I think its great, but iv seen very simular backgrounds many times.It works, but there is alot of free space to play with. More detail would be great!The image is great, fits really well and isnt low quality. I like the font and the surrounding scan lines - nice focus point.Im new here so i thought id start to join in somewhere! The person bellow can rate my current sig...(I made all the animation in it too... shame its not great. Iv been using Photoshop since may... so be kind!! )
