  1. Hi guys,Last year I met the best girl ever! We are so in love and everything is going so well. I decided for our anniversary i want to record a few songs for her. Only problem is that i'm neither a signer or lyricist! So I need your help. I really want to make it special..just three nice songs.Any recommendations? Where can I get some lyrics to use. Of course I intend to make it personal so I'll filter everything and add, remove...just edit everything.what software can i use? I'd appreciate all the help. I want to make a website as well where I showcase the work so you can be a part of it too! I can create a section where you can post a happy-anniversary message, photos, etc...just something to make my girl happy.!!!has this gone off-topic? I hope not...Thanks a lot and tell me what you think!!
  2. Hi all,I'm designing a website for my portfolio website. I'm more of a coder than gfx designer so I'm currently looking for a banner to use at the top of the page for web design. I'm going to paste snapshot the home page of my website and show exactly where I need it. I hope you can help me here.Size: 950 x 300 pxTheme: Preferrably light with a bit of blue and red.Render: YesRender Theme: Web design, marketing, creativity, innovationColor: white, blue, red, grayishText: Cutting-edge web design solutionsOther effects: Feel free to use your imagination.Attached file shows the homepage of the website. You will be able to see the theme, colours, etc. I'm looking for a picture like the one on the homepage...but relevant for the web design section.Thank you very much
  3. I use Notepad++ too!I tried Ultraedit just as I was about to start learning drupal development but it just didn't cut it for me :(I've never been a fan of DW or any other IDE, the less stuff you see on screen, the better the program!! at leat for me...besides Notepad++ is open source right.
  4. hello guys,I'm starting a web design agency and I was just wondering what kind of services i should include as addon services. I'm in the process of writing the plan to be presented to potential investors next week so I need a few pointers. Right now i've found the following services:-Web design and development-Web Hosting-Web Support and Maintenance-Graphics Logo design-Newsletter online marketing*I was thinking of including website design training to students, still in high school. I'm not sure what the requirements are exactly which is why i'm posting. Do I need some sort of certification to offer and which companies/international schools can I work with so that for example, after a student finishes the course we offer them a relevant, worthy certificate? Does it sound like a good idea? Please feel free to suggest anything, any idea that may come to mind.Thanks.
  5. From my experience I have to say Drupal is the best!!I started off in Joomla! because it's very easy to use and back in the day..almost all of its extensions were available free of charge so it was just a breeze using it at 16 years old. I understood it easily. fast forward a few years later...its no longer as rosy and easy to use. I guess it depends in your web development/design skill now but getting it to work for you is a process since most of the addons are now being sold :(Compare with Drupal..haha. its learning curve is a bit steep but once you understand it and can do just the basic stuff, you'll be hooked. it's what an open source platform should be..most of its addons are free and it's so scalable. Check it out mate. But if your knowledge is limited and you want a quick fix to your problems...joomla! might be the thing for you.I know nothing about Wordpress atm but i'm told it's not as good as Drupal or Joomla!
  6. i'd pick php anyday!!never invested any time into learning asp so i guess i'm a little biased towards php.
