What Do You Use?

Recommended Posts

What Program do you use to write your scripts in?I tend to use notepad ++ as its quite handy in that if you select which scripting language your using it color codes to show if your doing it right i know there are many scripting programs out there im justing wondering what ones do you use but i find notepad++ a breeze its so easy to use and easy to spot errors as i could not stand notepad normal because you don't know if you typed a error or not and just have to hope. I have heard of Jedit i tried it and i found i did not like it as much i found it a bit harder to use so i just changed back to my trusted companion XD notepad ++

Context is not to bad. I am using it. It is easy. You can change the colors for different languages.

Yes Notepad++ is very good for that the features are very handy for editing small files, and so easy to use i kinda prefer it to dreamweaver lol its my dreamweave substitute it has nice ideas and the part selecting which language you prefer is pretty cool

For writing PHP scripts I usually use PHP Designer 7, which for me personally is favorite IDE for PHP.

Sometimes just to edit something I ten to use Notepad2 as it loads very fast and has a lot of useful features..

I used to use Notepad++ too, but somehow don't use it and after some time I don't even install it..

On Linux I used to use Bluefish quite frequently, even though it's available on Windows now too, as there is a project, I don't really use it as in all those years I got used to PHP Designer and know where what is by setting up everything the way I like it.

Here is a good list of PHP editors: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PHP_editors
