Enable / Disable Task Manager In Win Xp

yeska

"The Task Manager is Disabled by your System Administrator" Is your task manager still accessible? if you did not disabled it maybe a virus did.. I dont know if this works in other OS because i only tried it in WinXP Professional.. here it goes... Click Start->Run then type gpedit.msc under User Configuration click Administrative Templates->System->Ctrl+Alt+Del Options then find the "Remove Task Manager" from the list on the right and change it state to Disabled. After you configure it, the task manager should now be available to you..

I will also add that the account you are accessing Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) from has to be an administrative account.
