Internet Explorer 5, 5.5, 6 And 7 In Linux

put tar xvfz ies4linux-latest.tar.gz

INTALLING

cd ies4l....

The IE7 interface is the same of IE6. What happens is that IEs4Linux makes work the motor of IE7 through the IE6 interface.

How to install it?
Simple. You only must lower and install the second beta of IEs4Linux 2.5 and execute the installer with the option âbeta-install-ie7 . But eye that so that everything works you must have installed wine (to execute .EXEs) and cabextract (to extract .CABs in the installation).

1. - Some distributions of linux already bring including wine and cabextract
2. - The reason of installing IE in linux? Some webmaster they need to see its Webs from different navigators.

this reminds me of a funny little blog article i once read where a man tried his hardest to get a win32 virus to run on linux, but in every case failed...it's pretty funny... i think i found it by searching for linux virus... in order to show how linux allows users to remain a bit more separated from themselves, and therefore pretty much squashes the transfer of viruses...

I actually used this for a while now. I didn't find the Internet Explorer 7 though, how did you get that? I need to use IE for web development purposes and I do not like rebooting into Windows XP everytime I needed to test a page layout, etc. With this, I can still test my site compatibility with IE.A problem with this IE is that it doesn't support ActiveX controls, therefore I still can't play MSN Zone games. Well at least it's more secure that way I think.
