Interactive Linux Kernel Map

Recommended Posts

Wonderfull!!!
That guy made a great job!. The map shows a well structured OS, made to be solid, reliable, compatible, scalable, extensible. I'm using Linux since 4 years ago and you don't have to know so to notice the layers, functions and electronics. Remember that Linuz wants to build a Unix, and he respects the standard with criteria(not strictly like BSD's)

Compare by yourself here (Windows structure) and the Linux (2.6.22) versus Windows (Vista)

Blessings!

Very nice map.Unfortunately, for beginners such as me, it's only nice. It's understandable for specialists, probably. However, for beginners, it would need some comments. I see the network drivers named "network_drivers", but this is not more meaningful than that. Some subtitles or comments could maybe be useful.
