Credit Check Doesn't Work

Ok, every time there's a hosting request, I would check on the person's credit, but there seems to be a technical error.I either get some huge negative numbers on the credits or "User should be in the HOSTED group."xboxrulz

How do you check on a non-hosted members credit? I couldn't figure out how to do this as the credit check seems to only work for HOSTED members.

OpaQue wrote the script for watching only HOSTED group. Therefore, even to check for hosting request you must wait until they are hosted. However, OpaQue did manage to build a safety check--when a member does not have enough, let's say only 9 credits, for hosting 1 an error message will appear with something like, "you do not have enough credits to activate." This safety check looks for admin's approval (accordingly to the hosting package type request) and credits needed to activate.I am unsure at this time OpaQue would expand the script to check none hosting member credits.

Tried looking for this option again....couldn't find it. Where is it located? Not under credits menu

i c, so only admins can see if they don't have enough credits to gain hosting? Wouldn't that slow down the whole process?xboxrulz

Even admins do not know the exact hosting credit numbers until a member becomes HOSTED group. Only the forum root admin can know (i.e. OpaQue) because it's in forum's database.

So other admins are basically calculating the approximate hosting credits by looking over member's posts. Even if an admin didn't get the minimum hosting credits right, the hosting activation script will catch the fault--thus the error message, 'you don't have enough.'

i c, I think OpaQue needs to write the script much more efficient by letting us see non-hosted members.xboxrulz

Oh, that link. Same one I have been using LOL.I guess it's up to the script to get the hosting...at least it has an error catching feature built in for those that don't have enough credits

Hm, I don't think it would be too hard to modify the script a bit. Let's say, if a user isn't hosted, their credit count does get displayed, but only to a mod or an admin. I mean, if the forum can fetch the credit count for each regular user, what can be so hard about making the script do the same?
