Recommended Posts

Hi there,I think one of the most difficult things to start a website is choosing the host that you'll use for your site. So, at the end i have found this website http:thehosting-review.com

yah, i do agree choosing a host is really difficult because at sometime you would like to update your site and add various actions so that it can do these things and other specifications so that your site would be "in" and can meet demands you'll be needing.that link is really a helpful one.. thanks so much..

I agree; choosing a webhost is indeed hard, especially when you go for more features. But even if you go for a basic host, you have to check out how reliable their servers are, whether customer support is good, and whether they're going to put ads on your website.

Since I'm still in high school and spend my time volunteering instead of finding and getting a job, I'm still using free web hosting. One of the sites I've always used to find and compare hosts is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. It allows you to compare different features of hosts too, like whether a host allows PHP, has MySQL databases, supports .htaccess, etc.

Yeah I will second/third that one.I always opt to build a web site locally (using something like WAMP5 or EasyPHP if I need PHP/mySQL in the website), so the host is one of the last things I need to worry about (because I can have the site running and for the most part fully functional before needing to be concerned about things like that).

If you can fork out the cash, then by all means pay for a great hosting plan that may guarantee you professional support and features. I think that as long as you can afford to spend the time gaining 'credits' on Xisto, this solution would do the trick for a great hosting plan. Choosing a host is not that hard if you just make up your mind to choose one. I think that the hardest part of having a website is maintaining it. It's easy to let a few days lapse and next thing you know you're falling behind or someone hacked you.

I believe that a finding a suitable host is something that everyone have a problem with when trying to develop their first website. Because you have to think about everything about stability and support. I remember going through various hosts until I found Xisto, the uptime is almost infinite i never noticed any problems with it thus far and found it to be very reliable. I also provide to use this hosting service for quite awhile because its completely free and offers all the features that I need in a hosting service. and did I happen to mention that this hosting service is free. It is true that another factor of difficulty of creating a website is maintenance but, with a good hosting service it can provide you with half the protection where the other half would be on your part on trying to block out the public prospect users from getting into your private secure areas of your website that may cause you risky problems in maintaining your website. But overall, the host is the main concern in a good and healthy website. WIth the right host you can have a good start in creating a prosperous website that can live on for ages with out problems.

Yeah i remember i've been through many hosts to find the perfect one.Started off with something simple like freewebs, then found a great free hosting company though they closed down soon after, but i have the commitment to post here on Xisto for free hosting, which is by far the best free host out there in my opinion. It is really hard for guys that are trying to make their first site, and hosting is the place to begin. You might have a great site but where do you stick it. One of the problems first time site builders will always face.-HellFire

Well, I don't think it is one of the difficult things, you find a host, so you find it, the main thing for me is getting the content up and ready and having lots of unique visitors, another thing is creating the site, you can create a site, but having no content and visitors, who will care about it.. and of course, if you won't have a host, you won't have anything, but I really don't that it is hard to find a host these days, you don't really need more than 30$ dollars a year to host a simple website and if you're a kid, go with some free host like Xisto, due to usually kids have a lot of time to post on a forum and etc. Now as I am a working student, it is getting harder and harder to keep posting, earlier I was getting over 1000 posts on other forums without spamming, today it is quite hard to make post in a day, but if I find the will and time, I tried to do it and to buy hosting isn't needed for me, due to I don't really have to to finish all my sites or even one of them, only several projects are online.. :/

It can be more difficult than immediately percieved, even if you are a beginner.Because you really do need to have a good think about what kind of space, bandwidth and features you not only need right there and then, but what you may need in the future (does the host have hassle free upgrade paths so you can get more if you need it later?).How reliable is a host, do I need features that it may or may not have? etc.

i think that choosing a web host is'nt hard i think the big thing that is hard is to upload the pages i'm such a perfectionist so i make cool sites but they never get uploaded and it really is a shame. Xisto is great hosting though its prwetty reliable and has a wonderfull price it makes a good temporary host if you want to use this until you get a site established and then move onto Xisto - Web Hosting which is alot better of a host because it has all of the features of a paid webhost. i think that once you chsooe the right host which you already have you will be very happy because good ad free hosts such as this that helps small buisness start out are hard to find i wish you the best of luck finding a host if you don't wanna use Xisto. it'll be your loss.
