Hacking Guilds, Corrupted Cheaters, Wrathful BlizzardA hot topic in the World of Warcraft community lately has been those who wish to cheat, hack, and bypass various mechanics in WoW. Raiding members of entire guilds have been banned recently for an exploit that allowed them to skip AQ40 content. Posters on various cheat related boards find their accounts temporarily suspended if their in-game name shows up, and even some cheaters have had the police called to them for threatening to off themselves if their accounts aren’t re-opened.I personally believe that whatever Blizzard does, is fine, as long as the innocent are not caught up in it. If you want to cheat in a virtual world, one where you pay money to have fun, then you deserve to be kicked out. The fun of the game is grinding up the levels and grinding away gear. There is no reason to try and skip content, if that’s what you’re looking for then pick up a single player RPG where cheat codes and game shark exist.Just a few of my thoughts on this.

Yeah u said right its your few thoughs about this question!!! but man i have to look by hackers side or like by theirs eyes, in your mind u can think so!! but evry time there were people who wanted disagree of terms, and didnt want to do like the way everyones do!!They thinking not so usual as you!! just think about it!!! u taking fun from playing ur game and cheater or hacker taking his adrinalin, and also taking fun from that!! and it belongs to from what point you are looking for this theme

I definitely agree that it is not fair to just cheat. If the hackers want to complain, sure, go ahead. But remember that Blizzard is the one that owns the game, and they can do whatever they please to its players within limits of the game. Kicking them out and keeping them kicked out is certainly within limits. And Aka Bar, you may say that these hackers have their adrenaline, but that's not fair play. That's like saying, "Hey, I work in this company and I want more money to be happy. Therefore, I'm going to use company funds for my personal needs." What would the other people in the company think? Would they think that it's okay to let this one person steal just so said person can be happy? I think not. Same principle applies here. And also, Aka Bar, it's not unfair for Blizzard to stop them either. They can do whatever they please to the game.

I used to play on Blizzard's official WoW servers, but I felt that after quite a while of playing, I simply wasn't getting what I wanted out of the 15 dollars a month I was sending to them. That corporation has epanded tremendously concerning the amount of "clients" (paying gamers) that they have, and thus their attention shifted from creating a game and a gaming environment that would welcome players, to strictly business. Now, it seems that Blizzard and the WoW staff take no part in the community that they have gathered. Of course though, because they are such a large corporation, they do have to pay extreme attention to the financial end of things, but as far as a gaming community goes, I must say I think they are extremely lacking in that area. As far as hackers and exploiters go, yes Blizzard does by all means have the right to take the appropriate action that they've previously specified for cheating, hacking, etc. You said though, that you think Blizzard has the right to do whatever they please as long as the innocent aren't caught up. Well, the truth is that because they are such a large corporation and have a reputation to maintain, the "innocent" do get caught up in the mix. I've noticed that while Blizzard is quick to ban people for such offenses, they're not too quick to respond or correct themselves when an error has been made. I can only assume that it's because they can afford to lose players on the assumption of exploitation, due to the massive pool of existing and new online gamers they have that subscribe. It seems that most of the time the posts in the forums are not handled by a forum moderator or employee, but rather by a random member of the community, if at all. It is the players that hold that company together and keep it running. While Blizzard provides the game, the updates, the environment in which to create a community, they have no part in it it seems. I have since moved on to a different place and feel that the community is far more important than receiving every update or having every single thing working properly. I now feel like I am an active and important member of this community now, instead of just one person out of a huge number that pay Blizzard to play the game. Within this private community, I know that the poeple in charge are personally attending to matters at hand, and actually have personalities - something that I very rarely observed from any member of the Blizzard staff. I just know that I feel much more content knowing that my 15 dollars stays in my pocket now instead of making it's way into Blizzard's pile of funds.
