Desktoptwo.com Your Online Desktop Really Superb

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

checkout this site:

http://desktoptwo.com/

Its cool site with a free Email ID(1GB)

a virtual online desktop for all members!

(With Online Hard Disk, browser,Messenger, Adress Book, Email Client etc in a single page itself)

This is the first Beta version (Version 0.7) of Desktoptwo and is intended to give you a first look at a unique on-line service. Please bear in mind that a Beta version is by definition incomplete, so service interruptions and other inconveniences will inevitably occur as we continually update, improve and prepare Desktoptwo for its official release. This site is intended for experienced (and patient) users who are willing to collaborate with us by immediately reporting any problems or bugs encountered while using the desktop. From the entire Sapotek team, we appreciate your support and cooperation.

Nice site friends!

:)

Wow, pretty impressed. Only if they could add more hard drive space then it'd be better. And also maybe an AIM account at the IM messenger service. The OpenOffice programs requires a fast computer to fully get the best out of it. All in all it's gona be a pretty good service when the real thing comes out.

Is it just my superstitiousness, but unfortunately, once again I don't trust it!I don't trust anything like this unless it is MSN, Google (Now not so trusting), yahoo (fairly) and a few others.Other small time e-mail clients need to grow with more supportive members and users, ahem not me ahem.I do think it is a pretty cool e-mail set up and think they've got a pretty neat website for something that is "fairly" small compared to GMail or MSN Hotmail.

I just tried it, works fine. Somehow slow, probably because it uses flash9, but 1 gig offered space is great ! Especially if you keep moving from une computer to the other one.

Wow, pretty cool. I've come across several sites like this recently. But still, I think they'd be a bit slow, since they have to rely on a internet connection to transmit everything, including whatever application you happen to be using on your WebOS. I'd prefer using a USB Flash Drive to run my own apps and store files. It's still slow if you're running an application, depending on the size, but it's not too bad. And you don't need an internet connection at all (no worries, therefore, if you're using dial-up).Serena
