10 Gb Storage? How About 25 Gb? online storage from streamload.com

Recommended Posts

Streamload.com has a free plan that gives you that's righ 25 gb of free file hosting. Also savefile.com has unlimited bandwidth and disk space for file hosting, but w/ a 60 mb limit, and there are no limits on streamload file uploads.Google may release the GDrive, which will store gmail messages, Picasa pictures, Google Pages files, and any other files that you want. And guess what- unlimited space and unlimited file size.

Uh...you know, just because Google offers it doesn't mean you should automatically trust them. That's rather blind. Besides, you wouldn't store any sensitive pieces of info with these services--like your tax returns or some secret corporate message. If you're just uploading a couple of family photos and picnic videos, I don't think any of them would be interested in taking your stuff.
I suppose GDrive sounds interesting--unlimited space? :D But I've never heard of this anywhere in the news. Perhaps you could provide a link?

OK, remember Gdrive stores in your Gmail mailbox, so the total space is not unlimited, it's limited to the total space Gmail allows you. And each filesize is not unlimited, it's included in a mail so it's limited to the size a mail is allowed, as far as I remember it's not very big and it's certainly not unlimited.

it GDrive is unlimited it will be abuse.. including me.. since everytime i need to format my pc.. the very first thing that goes OK is my netline.. I can just dump all of my ISO files in that GDrive.. provide extract important tools and the rest are ISO..

and since it is online.. no one can stop me sending the links nor the password to access those files..

It was not there yet but i can already think of an abuse..

Streamloader is a pretty cool idea. I wonder if people would be able to have a website hosted in there like uploading .html pages into it. It'd be a pretty cool idea but I guess since hotlinking is not allowed then it's not possible. I signed up however not know what to use it for but just to have it there in case i need to use it. It'd be a pretty good alternative to using flash drives because as long as one is connected to the internet using at least DSL then there's no need to use a small flash drive that can hold only up to 1gb today. The limitations would be that the person wouldn't be allowed to upload any .exe files or any ZIP programs and whatnot so it depends on how the user will use it. All in all it's a pretty good website and it would be useful to some but not everyone.

Why would you trust sensitive information online anyways

anything i woudl put on a gdrive i would be like go ahead take a look at all of it i dont care, i have nothing to hide

its not like if you have embarassing stuff they would humiliate you or laugh at you geez lol

and any person with half a brain would never store private/confident info on a remote computer far, far away from them
