Free Linux CDs: Any Distro One At A Time

Recommended Posts

http://free.thelinuxstore.ca/index.php

All linux distros can be ordered for free.

Please don't abuse it. If you don't need it or can download it from the net then don't order. And if you can donate, then do so.

I think u can order only one distro at once.. althugh i have not tried it yet.... (didnt want to waste their resources)..

I just ordered Linux Ubuntu TLS, the newest version, i ordered 10 CD's from thier official website, i just recieved them yesterday, they are really so good, i ordered 10 to use them at my LAN and my home PC's, thought that i need a copy for each PC, but i discovered that i haven't to have a CD for each PC, so i decided to distrbute them in my area, as i don't want to be like those who order just to order, though i paid tax here :D, but i gave away 8 CD's to my friends so we can spread Linux, specially this distro which i like, Ubuntu.

Really cool service. I wonder If they can keep up with orders... I mean, man, that's really cost them money...But anyway, I support stuff like this, software should be free  and work should be paid.

Well ... this really is good news. Thanks for the link. But I wonder how long they'll be able to keep up with the service. They'll have to spend quite a bit of money for the CDs, the webhosting and most important, the shipping. I hope they find enough donors to keep them going.

Man, that is really cool! If I could, I'd donate. Oh, and if you want to know where they're getting funding:

A portion of the sales at [TheLinuxStore.ca] store will be used to help this project.

But I agree with them, if you can download the disks be kind & save some money.

It's a good idea and I hope many people donate so this service can stay alive.I think this is a good option for those with slow internet connetion or limited download volume (like some student connections allowing only 250Mb/month  )
