Making Scrolly Things for ranks and such...

Recommended Posts

Here is the code...

<strong><marquee height="70" width="145" direction="up" scrollamount="2" style="Filter:Alpha(Opacity=50, FinishOpacity=0, Style=2, StartX=0, StartY=90, FinishX=0, FinishY=0);">PUT YOUR COOL TEXT HERE</marquee>
The effect should be like this (if html works in posts...) <strong><marquee height="70" width="145" direction="up" scrollamount="2" style="Filter:Alpha(Opacity=50, FinishOpacity=0, Style=2, StartX=0, StartY=90, FinishX=0, FinishY=0);">PUT YOUR COOL TEXT HERE</marquee>

What do you mean it does not work, it works for me!!!I just made a new html in notepad and included that code in the <body> tag and it works. It can't be seen right away because the finishopacity is 0, but it works!!!

rofl, thats a marquee. that's like one of the very first things you run by when you're learning html. marquee's are annoying. i don't like seem them on websites. javascript can do it fine if it pauses when you mouseover but if it doesn't it freaking annoys me and i don't pay attention to the content within marquee tags. but that's just me, and my opinion. and yeh it does work, he _snlildude87_ was just saying it didn't work in Xisto forums.. at least thats what i think so..

Soory, I didn't find it in Dooga's title code though I know it's not too original, but it's just a marquee, so it can't get terribly complicated, should I ask a mod to close this?

I Don't like marquees either... Unless it is scrolling things like shout outs or latest news on the headers...I use to use them until i got told by people it annoyed them.. . :)

Marquees are so 1998 :) I get totally annoyed by anything that moves on a website, while I'm not steering it. I used to love marquees when I first learned HTML (3.2), but I quickly came to my senses.

have to admit, that pretty wicked. It looks cool as long as it's not over used.
