Recommended Posts

Hardware site HEXUS.net appears to have received confirmation,
from One young gal, that NVIDIA's next generation codenamed
G71 is to be launched as GeForce 7900. This is their first using
the 90nm process and will be launched this March at CeBIT 2006.

According to the article, 7900 GTX will support 32 pixel pipelines
and have a clock speed between 700 and 750MHz GPU, and
should ship with 1.1ns graphics RAM clocked at 800/900MHz.

I've just check the orginal article. That sounds really interesting. I want to know a little bit about its price as I'm going to purchase a new graphic card. Do you know where can I find such information?

In the computer world you can never stay on top. Like having the fastest and most expensive pc. In a month it will start to loose value. Then in a year it will loose about half price or close to it depending whats in it.I recently did think about upgrading my AMD 64bit socket 754, yes thats right early 64bit =P But yea i think i'll hold back till i can afford a motherboard with PCIE, AGP is pretty much phased out now just like the ISA slots and we'll prob. see the PCI slots will become smaller in quantity like 1-2 slots. It'll just cost less for companys.

Jeez a 7900. I'm stuck with a 4800 SE lol. Poor me, I've been in the market for a new vid card for awhile, but $200 + is too much for my blood. Maybe some of these other cards will go down in value after this release. I've been looking at the 6800 series, I would go higher but I don't have a PCI Express slot on my motherboard. I have a decent computer, but I guess there's nothing I can do other than replace the motherboard in order to get the best/latest. Are there any way to add a PCI slot to an existing Motherboard. I read somewhere where you could take a PCI Express and make it like 4 regular PCI slots.
