Xanga Or Msn Spaces? Which one is better?

Recommended Posts

Wow... a lot of people are getting into blogging now!! It's amazing to see such an idea or a hobby turn into a business. Interesting how people try to make money in every way they can. So, I have chosen to go for blogging myself, since a lot of my friends are doing it. Yes, can you feel the peer pressure? How your friends affect your choices? Weird and interesting!!But hey, it's my choice to do it. So, I have decided - either Xanga or MSN Spaces. But again...DILEMMA: Xanga or MSN SpacesUps & Downs of Xanga---------------+Loads faster+200 megabytes of photo storage-Limited customizationUps & Downs of MSN Spaces---------------+A bit more customization than Xanga+Updates on MSN Messenger+Looks more professional than Xanga-Photo loading is annoyingIf you have any other comments or would like to start a debate, then please go ahead. Let's say I want you guys to persuade me :) But please use the truth and no harsh language :) But mockery is okayErrm.. also, it's between Xanga and MSN Spaces. Thanks :)

Would someone explain a blog? I've always understood it to be basically a diary. Or a place to show your store you ideas. Kind of like a personal journal (diary, what have you). Is that the typical reason for blogging? Or is it another way to have your own personal web site such as the days of having a geocities site to tell everyone who you are? I'm not sure on what blogging actually is for. I mean for the typical user. I can see how it would benefit a writer or someone high up int he business world. I guess I could show the world a picture of my dog. =) Maybe it's just not for me, or I'm totally misunderstanding the use of blogging.

I wonder why you're limiting your options in these two providers alone? There are other fish in the see, you know, and I'd personally rather go fishing.

And better still, since I see you're a Hosted Member here at Xisto.com, then how about you make your own blog on your hosted web space? I mean, when you get right down to it, if you want features to exactly fit your wants, then you've got to do it yourself. I haven't used the blogger of Xisto yet, but I suppose even if it's not so earth-shaking, you can hunt for a blogger-script around the Net. There are some excellent, yet free, stuff out there.

But anyway, if I had to choose between Xanga and MSN-Spaces, judging merely on the information you provided here, I'd go for MSN-Spaces. :)
