Outpost 3.0 Released

Recommended Posts

Outpost firewall just was just released its new 3.0 version.
This version includes an Anti-Spyware plugin plus an ARP (Ethernet)
filtering tab for the Attack Detection plugin.
I love the new ID Block feature.
it prevents my personal data leaks.

outpost is my favourite firewall.
Configurable, but also good out-of-the-box.
Give it a try.

Get it here
http://www.agnitum.com/index.php

and it is small, 4.5MB only. ZoneAlarm pro 6.0 is about 9MB.

Personally I don't think the Windows firewall is all that good, but if it works for you, then fine.

I would recommend you to install another one as well, it can't do any harm, and may save you some trouble.

I've never heard of Outpost before. Is it a good firewall. Currently I'm using Norton Anti-Virus as my Firewall but I'm hoping to try out new things to see which ones are good or not. I might try Outpost, thanks for the link jedipi! B)

I have tried Outpost free version last year but I don't why it has not worked for me. So that I have not used it after using only a single day. Then I have used Kerio and Zonealarm, both are good .Although I have heard very good reviews about Outpost but unfortuately my experince with it was bad.

Norton Anti-Virus is an software which protect your from Virus, but nothing to do with firewall.

Anti-Virus and firewall are not the same thing.

Give Outpost a try, it wont disappoint you!!
