Jguy101 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2005 Well, when I set up my hosting account, I used a password that I figured I'd change. But now, CPanel won't let me. I keep on getting this error..There was an error manipulating the password file. It gives me that no matter what password I give it. Anyone know what could be causing this? moonwitch1405241479 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Yes, I know what's wrong. You are supposed to make a permanent password. For a password reset, you need to apply for it.
