Salamander 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2005 Desktop Theme is a very small and usefull proggy that allow you to select themes for Windows 2000 (all versions), and designing and publish an autoextractible windows theme (.exe that uncompress in the directory you choose, for exemple Program Files\Plus !\). You can download it at Left Side Software And this one have a bug really interesting to use : . Select a theme in Desktop Theme, apply and quit the application ; . reboot windows : you can see while loading that the old theme you had is showing while windows starts (after it diseappear and is replaced by the new selected theme : it's like this each time you will start windows !). Then, in fact, it shows old theme who is in c:\WIN NT\Desktop Theme\Administrator , file name is "Themepicture.bmp". So... You can by the way design a "waiting while staring picture" : you just have to design a picture, save it as a themepicture file (the same name, the same image format -ie .BMP). Cool, isn't it ?
