Microsoft Windows Xp Professional X64 Trial

Microsoft lauch a free way of Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Trial. this version its free but you have to pay the transport fees.

this version have to main target ,64bits as exemple AMD 64Bitx. AMD Opetron, Intel Pentium 4 with EM64T,Intel Xeon wit EM64T. This version have 120 days to expire :P

its just windows compiled as 64bit binaries rather than 32bit.64bit linux distro's are identicle to there 32bit versions, just compiled and optimised for different CPU's.even if you have a 64bit CPU, you may want to stick with 32bit windows, very few 64bit drivers are available for windows.

I read a long article about this, the author had tested Win 64 bit. Most of the trivial programs (even some windows native programs) refused to work. Some installed ok but then didn't work etc. I think I'll wait for a few yrs (judging on M$'s speed of developing STABLE environments) before I dive into a 64 bit version of windows. However I do have a 64 bit Ubuntu and FC3 lying here :D I also so little visual difference in the screen shots. So I don't think it's that awesome.
