Thats interesting. I didn't know that. I just got rid of my old Tandy 1000. It had two floppy drives (both 3 1/2) and enough chip memory to hold MS-DOS. I had also recently rid myself of my old IBM that ran WIndows 3.1 with 72 mb of memory. Those are the computers I learned QBasic on. So happy (belated) birthday windows, and keep up the good work Microsoft!

Congrats Microsoft, what are you gonna dominate next? Microsoft is pretty cool though, can't wait until Longhorn.
And, why do you like DOS? Wouldn't you rather start up a game and play it immediatley, instead of typing in 2 hours worth of code and stuff?

l337 Nurse Pedestrian, i dont like MSDOS was only a comment , ah and longhorn are predicted to be released xmas 2006 :P LONG Time to wait
cheers

I guess they do :( . But is that an official date, just out of interest? I mean is that the day they released it or first had it functioning properly. I mean the software to make it must have taken a while so technically it can't really have a birthday.

Wow, I knew Windows was creating a long time ago in the 80's but 25 years. Such an amazing legacy to think about: non-graphic DOS PC to the excellent OS we have today. Way to go Windows and keep making your OS better.
