Tiniest Of Linux Distributions: List

Recommended Posts

Hi,
A couple of days back there was this query floating around regarding the tiniest OS ditributions available. I think I'd posted something on OpenQNX which used to come on a single 1.44MB floppy including an extremely decent GUI. Here I've found another list on Google Directories that covers almost all the working Linux Distributions that come under the size of 10MB. For all the Linux fans out there - this is a gold mine.

Following up on this, if anyone's interested in the full blown distros, goto: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Have fun :D

And i thought Damn Small Linux was small !There are loadsof distro's like that, some have a general purpose, some are made just for the fun of it.There is an unmaintained distro called Devil Linux.its a 1.44mb floppy distro that when booted, makes the computer act as a router / firewall for your network.cos a 386 is a terrable thing to waste :D

Try this site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Or better yet, buy the book: Linux for Dummies - the 6th or 7th edition is out, I believe.
