Get A G-mail Account!

Recommended Posts

In response to this topic.

G-Mail is currently still in the beta phase right now. You can right now sign up for a Google Account to use with other services like Google Groups and Google Answers but you can't sign up yourself to get a G-Mail account right now, you need to be invited. To get an invite just sign up on isnoop.net's G-Mail spooler! Unbelievably there are currently over 40,000 invites available!

At this point, Gmail is largely overused. Though they say it's just the beta, and you have to get invited, it's really not a selective system at all. I mean, the demand for invites is really low at this point, since the invite system has been out for awhile, and you can invite yourself over and over to gain more invites to give out.;;>_> That still really doesn't change the fact that Gmail pwns, though. If only it had a rich-text editor... Oh, and not to hijack this topic, but has anyone seen that 1-terabyte email provider? O_o I think its name was hriders or something... does anyone know whether that's reliable or not?

yeah, i know about it. It's hriders.com, a bike company/group or something.I don't like them. First at all they say you can send up to 500mb as an attachment. I tried it out and after a few mb's it didn't work anymore. Then their email system doesn't work all the time. you get often a message that to many users are logged in...so u can't connect. I really do not recommend them. I would rather take gmail!

Looks like the Beta is going to end soon. Right now, G-Mail just gave out a whopping 50 invites to its users. I think they're saturating the public with invites now until everyone who wants an account gets one. If you don't have G-Mail yet message me or pick up an account off isnoop.net!

And about the hriders 1 terabyte e-mail, the transfer rate is probably pretty slow so you probably won't be able to upload too much. I heard the uptime and reliability was low, so thats why its probably not as popular.

For invites, they should show up on the same page that you check your mail on. Right below your labels there should be a box to invite someone if you have invites.

hmmm...That would be nice if you could give me A g-mail account invite... my e-mail is shorty_19__8@hotmail.com....Thanks if you do but its fine if you don't

N to the topic on hand...G-mail won't come out of beta yet...They are probably giving out 50invites max so that people will slowly register...N then once enough people have registered they will make it none beta...Cuz if it just suddenly came out of beta...So many people would all sign up at once....Can you imagine the lag of that?....I know google can...N so it does the invite thing instead ;)

Who needs a terabyte?!? o.O I don't even come close to the 250MB limit of my Hotmail account and I'll get well over a hundred spam any given day. I've been wanting to try G-Mail but no one will ever invite me. /me cries I'll burn em all. ;)

a terrabyte is completely unneccsary for a normal everyday user. even gmails 1 gb might be more than enough. i rcv around 20 mails a day and after having used gmail for 4 months, ive used just 10%. talking of gmail, i have 50 invites to give out. mail me if you want any ;)

well, if somebody doesn't have enough invites.... I have like 150 left.

I dont need them for myself, I'm using 3 gmail accounts and all of them are overfilled with the invites.

Gmail is really a great service!! I really like them ;-)

150 invites with 3 accounts? How the hell did you do that? ;) I have only 6 invites with each of my accounts... Still, I think everybody who wanted to switch has gmail now... Now Opera support, and fast! ;)
