just a quick note:

ns1.astahost.com and ns2.astahost.com are nameservers/dns servers for hostings. it's only needed if you have your own domain name such as those dot com.

Are you using a good program, I reccomend Filezilla, or if you don't know where to download it, then just use some sluggish program, like CUTEFTP, SmartFTP, and so on and so on, or you can just go on SourceForge, or Google, or Yahooo, or any other good search engine!

:) I have a problem too, but the message is not the same. I get a timeout error so I’m thinking that it may be something to do with the database getting updated when your account is added (propagation). I could be wrong for sure. I will wait and see because just using the IP address should work just fine.I have tried every thing still can't get on. I did as the cpanel suggested but to no avail.I did find my problem, my firewall was blocking something. Any ways all is well now.

When I open ftp connection to ftp.myuser.astahost.com,I got the message"connection refused".I have tried many time and failed though I have add many ftp accounts with cpanel .

At last,I change the target host from ftp.myuser.astahost.com to myuser.astahost.com,then everthing works well.

And I found all accounts I have added works well for connection to this host ,too.

:)

Most of the tips and tricks are answered here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/80497-topic/?findpost=1064278024 and if you use the search capability in the top right hand corner of the forum you can search by keyword and find that your question was solved prior. I think any word less than 4 letters will not work so looking up all the posts on XPP and XPH is difficult... :)

Ugh...... Ok two thigns you cna type as the ftp server that will let you log in for sure are Xisto.com or ur cpanel username.astahost.com (type those inside hte ftp host slots if you have a ftp program... Then type ur cpanel user name as the user name slot and ur cpanel password as ur password slot... The server port for ftp is 21 (which is default for ftp hosts) If you are trying to log in through internet explorer type  Xisto.com or  yourusername.astahost.com and then a message will pop up...Click ok...Then right click the screen and hit login as... and you should be all set And for n e body who hasn't caught on yet yourusername is just a example ;)
