Mobile Operating System: Which Is The Best? PocketPC, MS SmartPhone, and Symbian

MS Pocket PC

So far, I think this is the best mobile OS made by Microsoft. I feel almost like having a pocket-sized notebook. It can run office application (MS Word, Excel), play digital media (music, videos) and do the GPS-thingie

 

MS Smartphone

Brother of Pocket PC. It has a narrower selection of application compared to Pocket PC. Almost the same as its brother, you can play digital media files, play games, etc.

 

Symbian, Palm, etc

Well, I haven't tried them. For those who has ever tried them, please share your opinion and how are their performance compared to MS Pocket PC and MS Smartphone.

Don't know if anyone is runnign linux on a smart phone but at least it is done on (non phone) PDAs.

 

 

I am not awfully well aware of different OS on smart phones. I know something about Symbian, I've actually learned developing for it a bit and I'm most certainly going to learn more next spring. The way Symbian is designed and the fact that it is not owned by a one big company, is something that appeals to me. And then again I'm one of those little MS haters out there...
