Where can I find a good webpage designer? I really need a program for it.

With my experience, I think dreamweaver is good for the beginner. And it could be downloaded and u could have about 1 month trial. However, to design a good web page, we still must know html. Learning from others code, or the tutors, it's interesting way which I'm also on the process.

Good question. You really should know HTML or basic HMTL first. Yeah, for beginners, a WYSIWYG type of HTML editor would be better. Either Frontpage or Dreamweaver would do, but i highly recommend and prefer Dreamweaver. Webpage designing doesn't only rely on the software and the codes. In making designs, it really depends on the persons artistic imagination or skills in designing. Like what bx93 said about learning code from other's sites and tutorials online, you can also get ideas about designs from looking at other's websites. Get ideas, don't copy them.

I first learnt to make a web page simply using very basic html in notepad. I dont suggest doing it this way it wasnt exactly easy. I would start with an easy and popular - (so that you can get advice off others easier) WYSIWYG program like dreamweaver or frontpage.BTW- do dreamweaver/frontpage have tutorials built into them? and if so are they any good?

Both give you previews of your pages in your default web browser. HiIs there any who knows about a freeware html editor with frontpage ext.? I know that it might be a little naive to think that something regarding MS can be for free, but if someone knows about an GNU project, please let me know, as my girlfriend has req it for her website working. BrgdsJens
