Hard Drive Change Tomorrow Afternoon

Recommended Posts

Dear Members,We will be changing the Hard-drive for one of the web server in the cluster managing Xisto Forums. This will be started tomorrow afternoon. We will be routing the traffic the the secondary web server while the transfer is in progress. Even though we should not have any downtime, but if anything goes haywire, you can be assured that its just maintenance work in progress. We noticed this problem, when the system went into read-only mode. We fixed the issue temporarily and restored the services back on the affected web server. Lets hope this fix goes smoothly :)All other servers are running fine and members need not worry about their own websites. Its just about this forum.Regards,Shree

Last time there was drive change it was year before. I guess it was on Dec 23 last year as per my memory. After that there is not downtime for other servers. Anyway, let's take a break from mycent earning for a while. Enjoy your weekend guys, leave computer and Xisto alone for a while :)

Yup that's a good idea :) I've already taken a break of sorts since the past two days - so I'll do it for two more days - no harm.....yet!

Thanks for the head's up! I always panic if I find the site down, and I never know if it's me, or my computer or the site, so It's great to know ahead of time and save me all that anxiety! Lord know's I have enough of that in my life as it is!

Yes I've done that already! :) Over 50 new comments come in every hour or so and all of either bid a teary farewell to mininova or badmouth those who have put their content through the content distribution service! Poor guys they must be wondering why they're getting so many unrelated comments for their work...

Wow excellent, Xisto has been a little slow so I hope it becomes faster in the brand new harddrive :) Though... You're American right, so that'll happen around 21 or 00h GMT, no?

Thanks for the heads up for once, We don't seem to be getting much news but I hope you keep this up informing us and letting us know when there will be maintenance or down time. I hope this site runs better after this or these changes.
