Is There Anyone Run Jsp Successfully On Trap17?

Recommended Posts

It seems Xisto is using apache 1.3.x + tomcat 5.0.x + mod_jk 1.2.x for jsp solutions.

Jsp access go to apache first, then go to tomcat through connector mod_jk.

The problem is the jsp file should be put under the webapps folder under tomcat. But Xisto only provide the ftp access to apache web folders. So how is it possible to run a jsp web site.

I would like to know anyone of you has hosting Jsp successfully. If yes, can you tell us how do you make it. Thanks.

First, You have posted the same message in two different sections I will suggest you to not do this thing. Your post may be considered spam.Second, I am also converting my all the pages to JSP but I have not hosted them yet. So it will be good if someone tells about his JSP experience on Xisto.

Normally on a shared host, you can access only to the root context of your site (because the Web server and servlet engine are shared among all the users of the host). So you should try to put your JSP pages to the root context of your site, and see if it work. I don't have space on Xisto yet, so I will let you know if I can run JSP once I get some space here.

I think someone asked about it a while ago and OpaQue said you had to specifically request JSP if you wanted to run it because it takes up a lot of resources... It was a month or so ago, I think. You might find it if you search. You should PM OpaQue and ask about it.
