Does Frame Have To Scroll?

Recommended Posts

I have problem with my site.I have never againe made a site, and now that I have somehow created it with the use of 3 frames,it gets on my nerves that the left frame has scroll bar.Is there any way that it could be just like an ordinary box, instead of scrolling.
You can see it at My Webpage

What is it that you want with your site? The fact that your left frame has a scrollbar is because it needs the space. You can try to switch the frames for tables that way the whole page scrolls up and down.If you don't want that because you want your banner always in the screen you can make the page out of 2 frames one on top and the other below.the below frame you split up in 2 tables that way you have the same kind of site you have now but you have less frames ( most people don't like frames) and you don't have the scrollbar anymore.I hope this is enough for you and I hope it is a solution to your problem.

You can remove a scrollbar by adding scrolling="no" to the <frame> tag that you don't want to scroll. However, that frame has more content than the size of the frame, so the scrollbar is there. You can still scroll in a page that doesn't have a scrollbar, by pressing and holding the left mouse button, and dragging down, but that could get annoying.

If I were you I'd get rid of the frames entirely. I don't really see why you would want to use them. However, if you do want to keep the frames for some reason you should do as has been suggested and have the left and center frames in one frame, because you will still need some way of scrolling.Setting scrolling="no" would solve your problem, but immediately create a new one: visitors only seeing a small piece of the left frame. But as I said, I think the best solution would be to get rid of frames all together.
