Although this is for web developers, this is also recommended for Web Designers. This is a good package that will provide your web needs.The Package:----------------------------1. Eclipse a. PHP Development Tools (PDT) - PHP plugin for Eclipse IDE b. JSEclipse - Javascript plugin for Eclipse IDE c. Built-in HTML/XHTML editor d. Built-in CSS editor2. XAMPP or LAMPP (for linux) - Web Server consists of Apache and MySQL3. GIMP or Adobe Photoshop (recommended for pro quality web design)And that's basically it!An alternative to Eclipse is Aptana Web IDE. It's mostly for developing in Javascript.

well that is what you say is the best, but you dont even provide links for the programs, making me doubt their abilities (except eclipse and photoshop). link might be a good idea and what os' they support.

If you know what .NET Framework is then eclipse is just like that, a series of tool to build web applications or software to be used on your network or use for websites. This is just a open source version of that and so you can build your applications in java code. Everything that is listed in item one is what you can get in the eclipse package from their site http://www.eclipse.org/. XAMPP is a software used to set up a server to computer so you can test your applications without the need to be connected to the internet and of course GIMP and photoshop is obvious.

actually php is best lang. for website davolapment.style sheet is must for website davolapement.one imp. thing that is imp. for website davolapment is database.database knowledge is must for WD because all data is stored in in database.anotherthing that is imp. for WD is flase knowledge.all these thing are imp for website davelopment.
