Need Help Naming My Website

Recommended Posts

Just as the subject says, I need help naming a website I'm about to make. This website will contain my portfolio showcasing previous works I've done as a web designer/developer. I also want to display all services that I can provide. Basically it's a web designer's website but I have no "Company Name" for it. So could someone help me out?

Well the best way to go is usually have something along the lines of ________ design's since your a designer and devloper, usually your first name or last name or a combination of both would work well since you don't want a name like "Uber Death Design" to scare off the kids. But it would easier to figure out if you already have a site up or a preview of you site, since it will determine the best way to give your site a name.

I like saint Michael's idea, of putting your name and then designs or something, but I've always been a fan of "creations" or "productions" or "studios". Try one of those after your name, in my opinion they sound more professional. :)

Okay, my name is Albert Villaroman. I tried to make something with my name with it but had no luck. Something like "Albert Studios" or "Villaroman Studios" ...I dunno, It just doesn't ring a bell to me. How bout the others?

I would have gone with AV Studio but that site is taken already :) Maybe A. Villa Studio's would work well it short and it includes parts of your first and last name and it's catchy too :).

I must agree with saint michale- Villaroman Studios is possibly one of the more "profesional choises". It just sounds more corporate that Villaroman Designs. Ending something with "designs" sounds a tad fruity. It sounds like the part of a name of a jewellery company. I wish you the best of luck on finding the right name!

Hm... I came up with "AV Media" but Mermaid's suggestion: Villaroman Studios is also worth taking a look at. To me "Villaroman Studios" has a bit more depth to it. More professional sound to it. But hwat about the one I came up with? It's a bit light--I don't know if it also sounds professional.

as a web designer also, although i joined an already existing company (my friends) they just had the initials of their first names, which got them KC Design. its a nice name and its short. so something like A. Villa Design or Al V. Design AV Design maybe. just look at available domain names.

Maybe you can try out some names like,

Yourname's Design Studio

Yourname's Design Page

Or try naming a company and starting it.. It would always help you if you could have a company brand. It would be easy for people to remember you.. and would look more professional.

If you have doubts regarding choosing a company name for your site, there is a site which offers a database of words. It is usually filled up by users all over the world..

http://www.wordlab.com/

Good Luck naming your site !!
